The trustees present their Trustees, Annual Report, combining the D1￿clOr$, Report and Trustees, Report. and Ihe
unaudited financial statements for thB financial year ended 31 December 2024.
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Companies Act 2006. FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charities-. Statement ol
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of T￿land IFRS 1021.
The Trustees, Report contains the infomalion required to be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the
Statement of Recommended Practice ISORPI guidelines. The trustees of the company are also charity trustees for the
purpose of charity law and under the company's constitution are known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the trustees of The 1825 Proj&ct Limited present a summary of its purpose, govemance, activities,
achievem8nts and financBs for the financial year 31 December 2024.
The charity is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a form which complies with the
requirements of the Companies Act 2006 and, although not obliged to comply with the Stat8ment of Recommended
Practice {Charities SORP effective January 20151, the organisalion has implemented its recommendations where
relevant in these financial statements.
Principal Activity
The 1825 Project Ltd was estsblished in 1998 and is a community-based training organisation that designs and delivers
strategically targeted projects. programmes and interventions for young people which contributes to community
development. It ￿rther delivers cross-border programmes and projects in partnership, generally as a lead agency, and
trains other individuals and organisations to work with and for young people.

The 1825 Projecl Limited was established in 1998 and is a community-based training organisation that designs and

development. It further delivers cross-bord8r programmes and projects in partnership. generally as a18ad agency, and
trains other individuals and organisalions to work with and for young people.

The 1825 Project Limited is a company limited by guarantee and is govemed by ils Memorandum and Articles ol
Association. It is also recognised as a charity by the Charity Commission of Northem Ireland.
The day to day activities of the charity are administer6d by th8 manager who then reports back lo the Tnjslees on a

Review of Activitles, Achlevement5 and Performance
The project continued to deliver the Power to Empower Project which is funded under th& National Lcittery Community
Fund with additional activities and resources provided for by monies from the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and
Trade Reconciliation Fund.
We worked with a group of young people from the Portadown ar8a deliv8ring OCN Level 2 in Uniting Communities
Through Leadership.
A second group of young people from the Brownlow area of Craigavon on partnership with Lismore College also
completed the same OCN Course.
WE developed a second OCN option in 2024 which will be offered as a level 2 qualification in Community
Development which will be offered to young people in 2025 and 2026.
The Staff and Committee explored options under the Peace Plus Changemakers programme and wi11 make an
application to run a pilot project involving a cross-border intergenerational group of individuals from Craigavon and
Cavan Town.
The aim is to produce a book and podcast which examines the catastrophic impact lo local communities because of
partition and how that contributed to poor social development and high levels of emigration by young people.
Various short programmes were carried out thrDugh Community FDundalion for Nl funding and Community Relations
Council Funding addressing poor physical. mental and sexual health amongst young people.
The project completed its Power to Empower plus short programme which was delivered through funding provided by
the Halifax Foundation.
The project conlinued to explore possibilities for further training and education in community development for staff and
volunteers and the development of its own courses in reconciliation, community development and leadertship.
Financial Review
The results for the financial year are set out on page 9 and additional notes are provided showing income and
expenditure in greater detsil.
Flnanclal Results
At the end of the financial year the charity has assets of £26,94612023 £24,187) and liabilities of £1,754 {2023
£1.8391. The net assets of the charity have increased by £2,844.
Reserves Position and Pollcy
Th& charity's policy is lo achieve a level of resources which matches the needs of Ihe organisation both at the current
time and in the foreseeable fulure. The free reserves required should be sufficient to cover at least thre& months, running
costs. The trLJslees feel that these levels of reserves are essential lo enable the charity to continue to provide its activities
for the foreseeable future. The reserves policy is an integral part of the charity's planning, budget and forecasts.

The Iruslees. who are also directors of The 1825 Project Limited for the purposes of company law. are responsible for
prepaTrng the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
Company law requires the trustees as the directors to prepare financial slalements for each financial year. Under that
law the trustees have elected to prepare the financial slalemenls in accordance with United Kingdom Generally
Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law} including FRS 102 'The
Financial Reportir¥J Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Section 1A (Small Entities). Under company
aw the trustees musl not approve the financial statements unless they are s8ts"sfied that they give a true and fair view
of the state of affairs of the company and of ihe Surplus or deficit of the company for that period.

OF THE 1825 PROJECT LIMITED
We have examined the financial statements of the charity for the financial year ended 31 December 2024, which
comprise the Slalement of Financial Activities {incorporating an Income and Expenditure Accounti, the Balance Sheet
and the related notes.
This report is made solely to the charity's members, as a body, in accordance with Chapter3 ofPart 16 ofthe Companies
Act 2006. Ourwork has been undertaken so thatwe might compile the financial statements IhatW8 have been engaged
to compile. report to the Board ofTrustees that we have done so, and stale those matters that we have agreed to state
to them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent pemiitted by law, we do not accept or assum8
responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the charity's members, as a body, for our work, or for this report.
Respectlve responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's tnjslees (who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company law) a￿ responsible for
the preparation Df the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006. The
harily's trustees consider that an audit is not required forthis financial year under Chapter 3 of Part 16 of the Companies
Act 2006 and that an independent examination is required.

follow the procedures laid down by the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland

Basis of independent examiner's report
We have examined your charity financial statements as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and our
oxamination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 6519)Ib} of the Charities Act. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by
the charity and a comparison of the financial statements presented with those records. It also includes consideration ol
any unusual items or disclosures in the financial statements and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any
such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
cons8quently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair, view and the report is limited to
those matters set out in the statement below.
In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention which gives us cause to believe that in, any

GENERAL INFORMATION
The 1825 Proj&ct Limited is a company limited by guarantee incorporaled in Northern Ireland. The registered
office of the charity is 501 Drumbeg, Tullygally, Craigavon, Armagh, BT65 5AH, United Kingdom which is also
the principal place of business of the charity. The financial ststements have been presented in Pound 1£) which
is also the functiona5 currency of the charity.
SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with items which are considered
material in relation to the charity's financial statements.
Basls of preparation
The financial statements hav8 bèen prepared on the going concem basis under the historical cost convention,
modified to include certain items at fair value. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with
the Stalemenl of Recommended Practice ISORP} "Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS
102" applying Section 1 A of that Standard.
As permitted by the Companies Act 2006, the charity has varied the standard formats in that act for the
Statement of Financial Activities and the Balance Sheet. Departures from the standard fomiats are to comply
with the requirements of the Charities SORP and are in compliance with section 4.7, 10.6 and 15.2 of that
SORP.
Statement of Compllance
The financial statements of the charity for the financial year ended 31 December 2024 have been prepared on
the going concem basis and in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice ISORP)"Accounting
and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102" applying Section 1 A of that Standard.
Incoming Resources
Voluntary income or capital is included in the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally entitled
to it, its financial value can be quantified with reasonable certainty and there is reasonable certainty of its ultimate
receipt. Entitlement to legacies is considered established when the charity has been notified of a distribution to
be made by Ihe executors. Incoma rec81V8d in advance of due performance under a contract is accounted for
as deferred income until earned. Grants for activities are recognised as income when the related condits'ons for
legal entitlement have been met. All other income is accounted for on an accruals basis.
Resources Expended
All resources expended are accounted for on an accruals basis. Charitable activities include costs of services
and grants. support costs and depreciation on r8lated assets. Costs of generating funds similarly include
fundraising activities. Non-staff costs not attributed to one catpgory of activity are allocated or apportioned pro-
rata lo the staffing of the relevant service. Finance, HR, IT and administrative staff costs are directly attributable
to individual activities by objective. Governance costs are those associated with constitutional and statutory
requirements.
Tangible fixed assets and depre¢iatlon
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost or at valuation, less accumulated deprecialion. The charge lo
depreciation is calculated to write off the original cost or valuation of tangible fixed assets, less their estimated
residual value, over their expected useful lives as follows..
Fixtures, fittings and equipment

Cash at bank and in hand comprises cash on deposit at banks requiring less than three months, notice ol
withdrawal.
Taxation
No current or deferred taxation arises as the charity has been granted charitsble exemption. Irrecoverable
valued added lax is expensed as incurred.
All income received by the charity is used for charitable purposes and is therefore 8xempl from taxation.
