1825 Project Trustee Annual Report 2023

2023 saw the continuation of our Lotter Community Fund programme ‘The Power to Empower Project (P2E).

The P2E Project targets young people aged 17 – 23 years and delivers two Level 2 OCN qualifications in Uniting Communities through Leadership and Community Development.

28 young people in three different groups participated in the delivery of the P2E Project in Drumbeg Community House, Lismore College and St Peters GAA club Lurgan.

They each completed 120 hours of direct engagement through training and education along with participating on several teambuilding exercises and engagements in recreational and social events.

The programmes offer an insight, education and training into the following ;

This list is not exhaustive but it provides evidence that the young people are participating in a programme providing training in the essential skills of community development as an asset moving forward.

Additional funding was provided by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Reconciliation Fund, CFNI Social Justice Programme, The Community Relations Council and the Halifax Foundation.
