The trustees present their Tnjstees. Annual Report, combining the Directors, Report and Trustees, Report, and the
unaudited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2023.
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, FRS 102 'The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial slatements in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102).
The TnJslees' Report contains the information required to be provided in the Truslees, Annual Report under the
Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) guidelines. The trustees of the company are also charity trustees for
the purpose of charity law and undèr the company's constitution are known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the trustees of The 1825 Project Limited present a summary of its purpose, g0veman￿, activities,
achievements and finan￿$ for the financial financial year 31 December 2023.
The charity is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presenled in a form which complies with the
requirements of the Companies Act 2006 and, although not obliged to comply with the Statement of Recommended
Practice (Charities SORP effective January 2015), the organisation has implemenled its recommendations where
relevant in these financial ststements.
Mission, Objectives and Strategy
Objectives
The 1825 Project Limited was established in 1998 and is a community based training organisation that designs and
delivers strategically targeted projects. programmes and inleNentions for young people which contributes to
community development. It further delivers cross border programmes and projects in partnership, generally as a lead
agency, and trains other individuals and organisations to work with and for young people.
Structure, Governance and Management
Structure
The 1825 Project Limited is a cornpany limited by guarantee and is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of
Association. It is also recognised as a charity by the Charity Commission of Northem Ireland.
The day to day activities of the charity are administered by the manager who thenreports back lo the Trustees on a
regular basis.

Review of Actlvities, Achievements and Perfomiance
Throughout 2023 the 1825 project continued to deliver its National Lottery Community Fund Power lo Empower Project.
il engaged three groups of twelve young people aged 17- 22 years from across the Craigavon Borough.
The young people completed an OCN Level Mo qualification in Uniting Communities Through Leadership as well as
participating in educational field trips and social teambuilding activities.
The 1825 Project worked in partnership with Lismore College, Craigavon, St Pelers GAA, Clan Éireann GAA, South
Shore Health and Wellbeing, Drumbeg Residents Association, Craigavon Volunteer Bureau and the Fitzone Foundation
in Ihe delivery of ils Power to Empower Programme.
The project pèrsonnel also worked closely with the Fitzone Foundation in the delivery of training in and education of
Community Development as part of its commilment to enhancing the community Sèctor in Craigavon Borough.
We participated in the consultations regarding the development of area plans with regards to the Peace IV Programme
which was led by ABC Council in mid to late 2023.
We received funding from the Communty relations Council, Halifax Foundation and CFNI which was directed towards
more focused training in the areas of community development, pea￿bUilding and outreach which was open to past,
existing and new participants. The take up was very high and many of Ihe participants are now aGlive in community
engagement at different levels using the training they received.
An application was made in March 2023 to the Department of Health, led by the 1825 Project in partnership with the
Fitzone Foundation and Craigavon Volunleer Bureau. It was a strong application which made several proposals to
address mental health issues in the Craigavon area. However, the process was pulled by the Department and no
fvnding was awarded to any group.
Financial Review
The financial results for the year are fully detailed from pages 8 onwards and show the overall surplus of £1,083 for
the year. This has arisen mainly lo do with the liming of funding received and not spent at the year end. The trustees
consider the finanGial results lo be Satisfa￿Ory.
Financial Results
At the end of the financial year the Gharity has assets of £24,187 (2022 - £22,582) and liabilities of £1,839 (2022 -
£1.317). The net assets ofthe charty have increased by £1,083.
Reserves Position and Policy
The charity's policy is lo achieve a level of resources which matches the needs of the organisalion both at the current
time and in the foreseeable fvture. The free reserves required should be sufficienl to cover at least three months
running costs. The trustees feel that these levels of reseNes are essential to enable the charity lo continue to provide
its activities for the foreseeable future. the reserves policy is an integral part of the charity's planning, budget and
forecasts.

educational achievement of them by means of providing a personal record of achievement portfolio and using the
)Igures to present to all int6resled parlies the benefits of those achievements.
3) The oryanisation producés monthty, quarterty and annual reports which highlights the achievements of the
partiapants and the beneDts those achievemenls bring to them personally and to their local communities.
4) The organizalion bars no one on Ihe basis of ability and provides education and training at a level which will be
attainable forthose young people pailic4paling and which takes into account any or no disability Ihey may have.

The truslees, who are also directors of The 1825 Project Limited for the purposes of Company law, are responsible for

OF THE 1825 PROJECT LIMITED
We have examined the financial statements of the charity for the financial year ended 31 December 2023, which
comprise the Statement of Financial Activities (incorporating an Income and Expenditure Account), the Balance Sheet
and the relaled notes.
This report is made solely to the charity's members, as a body, in accordance with Chapter 3 of Part 16 of the
Companies Act 2006. Our work has been undertaken so that we might compile the financial statements that we have
been engaged to compile, report lo the Board of TrusleÈs that we have done so. and slate those matters that we have
agreed lo slate lo them in this report and for no other pufpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law. we do not
accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the charity's members, as a body, for our work,
or for this report.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examlner
The charity's trustees (who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company law) are responsible
for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006. The
charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this financial year under Chapter 3 of Part 16 of the
Cornpanies Act 2006 and that an independent examination is required.
It is our responsibility lo:
examine the financial statements under section 65 of the Charities Act.,
follow the procedures laid down by the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.. and
slate whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examineffs report
We have examined your charity financial statements as required under section 65 of the Charities A¢t and our
examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northem
Ireland under section 65(9){b) of the Charities Act. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the charity and a comparison of Ihe financial statements presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the financial slatements and seeking explanations from the
trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view
and the report is limited lo those matters set out in the statement below.
In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention which gives us cause to believe that in. any

GENERAL INFORMATION
The 1825 Project Limited is a company limited by guarantee incorporated in Northern Ireland. The registered
office of the company is 501 Drumbeg, Tullygally, Craigavon, Craigavon. Amiagh. 8T65 5AH, United Kingdom
which is also the principal place of business of the company The financial statements have been presented in
Pound (£) which is also the functional currency of the company.
SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with items which are considered
material in relation to the charity's financial statements.
Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis under Ihe historical cost convention,
modified to include certain items at fair value. The financial statements have been prepared in accordan
with the Statement of Recommended Practice {SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing iheir
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
FRS 102" applying Section 1A of that Standard.
As pemiitted by the Companies Act 2006, the charity has varied the standard fonnats in that act for the
statement of Financial Activities and the Balance Sheet. Departures from the standard fomials are to comply
with the requirements of the Charities SORP and are in compliance with section 4.7. 10.6 and 15.2 of that
SORP.
ststement of compliance
The financial statements of the charity for the financial year ended 31 December 2017 have been prepared on
the going concem basis and in accordance with the Ststement of Recommended Practice (SORP)
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102" applying Section 1A of that Standard.
Incoming Resources
Voluntary income or capilal is included in the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally
entitled to it, its financial value can be quantified with reasonable certainty and there is reasonable certainty of
its ultimate receipt. Entitlement to legacies is considered established when the charity has been notified of a
distribution to be made by the executors. Income received in advance of due performance under a ￿ntract is
accounted for as deferied income until eamed. Grants for activities are recognised as income when the
related conditions for legal entitlemenl have been met. All other income is accounted for on an accruals basis.
ResOu￿e$ Expended
All resources expended are accounted for on an accruals basis. Charitable activities include costs of seNices
and grants, support costs and depreciation on related assets. Costs of generating funds similarfy include
fundraising activities. Non-staff costs not attributed to one category of activity are allocated or apportioned
pro-rata to Ihe staffing of the relevant service. Finance, HR, IT and administrative staff costs are direcUy
attribulable to individual activities by objective. Govemance costs ar8 those assoaated with constitutional and
statutory requiremenls.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost or at valuation, less accumulaled depreciation. The charge to
depreciation is cAlculated lo write off the original cost or valuation of tangible fixed assets, less their estimated
residual value, over their expected useful lives as follows:

Cash at bank and in hand comprises cash on dep051t at banks requiring less than three months, noti￿ of
withdrawal.
Taxation
No current or deferred taxation arises as the charity has been granted charitable exemption. Irrecoverable
valued added lax is expensed as incurred.
All income received by the charity is used for charitable purposes and is therefore exempt from taxation.
