The aim of the charity is to support Ethnic Minority communities in the Mid and East Antrim Borough to
integrate into society by providin8 links to statutory, voluntary Ix)di&s and community groups and thereby
ensuring equitable delivery of servi￿. promoting equality for all, strengthentng go￿ relation4 capacity
building and raising awareness and appreciati￿ of cultural diversity so that mem￿$ of the ethnic minority
communiti&s can see themselves a5 integral citizens of Northern Ireland.

The significant 8Ctiviti&s of the charity are the advancement of education and the promotion of good relations
between and among minority ethnic communities and the indigenous populatiCA) in County Antrim and its
environs of Northern Ireland.
Financial review
Policy on reserves
The trustees feel it is ￿neficIal to hold an amount in unr&stricted funds to cover running costs for a period of at
least 3months to enable the company to continue at its Current level of activity.

Statement of Trustees? liespDDsibilitie*
The trustees (who are also the directors of Inter-Ethnic Forum (Mid And East Antrim) for the purposes of
company law) are responsible for preparing the trustees, report and the financial statements in accordance with
applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standarits (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting
Practice), including FPS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Rq)ubli¢ of Ireland"
Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year, Under company law
the trustees must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view
of the state of affairs of the charitable company and of the incoming resour￿ and application of resources,
including its income and expenditu￿ of the tharitable company for that period. In preparing these financial
statemen1& the trustees are requirgj to:

state whether applicable accounting standard4 comprising FRS 102 have been followed, subject to any

charitsble Company will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible ft)r keeping proper accounting records that can disclose with reasonable accuracy at
any time the financiaI position of the charitable company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements
comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charitable
company and hence for taking reasonable step5 for the preventi(m and detection of fraud and other irre8ulariti&%.
