ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES Coalisland Learn & Leisure Association Pur The Association was established to promote the beneflt of the inhabltants of Coalisland and its environs {hereinafter described as 'the area of beneflt,) without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other oplnion by associating wlth the statutory authorities, voluntary organlsations and inhabltants in a common effort to advance educatlon and to provide facilities In the interest of social welfare for the protection of health and for recreation, with the object of improving the conditlons of life for the sald inhabitants. Public Benefits Under our Purposes: Coalisland Learn and Lelsure Assoclation provides a variety of sewing and craft classes to women from Coalisland and the surrounding area. They provide three classes a week currently, ranging from crochet and dress making to patch work and crafts. All classes are supervised by competent and suitably qualified tutors so that participants can Improve thelr individual skllls. The Association also engages a number of speakers each year on topics such as home safety, health and wellbelng, healthy eating and looking after oneself. We also have a publlc exhibitlon of the best of our work, whlch is open to the publlc each year. The organisation tires to arrange outlngs / trips each year. The committee meets monthly, holdlng Its AGM in March Beneficiaries The Charitvs beneficlaries are primarily older people living in and around the Coallsland rea of Mld-ulster Dlstrict and who have been identlfled as being rurally Isolated and / or socially excluded. Artivities st This year l April 2023 to 31st March 2024 we have a very steady membership, we are not back to pre_covld numbers so we continue to promote our classes in local shops and church notices as well as word of mouth. The Trustees and Committee on the 28th April declded to contlnue meeting any shortfall in expenses {rent and wages) for the coming year and would review It annually at the beglnning of each financial year. We continued with our personal knitting and sewing projects as well as our work for various Charities, including Premature Baby Unit Craigavon , Marie Curie, Christian Aid and local Nurslng Homes. We had an excellent Christmas Lunch, cooked by the Hospitality students in South West College, Dungannon. We were all in awe of their skills and hope to attend next year.

OUTSTANDING DEBTS OR LIABILITIES: There were no debts or outstanding debts or liabilities. RESERVES POLICY: A small reseNe of money Is retained In the group's account to ensure the group can continue to operate. FUNDS IN MATERIAL DEFICIT & STEPS TAKEN TO MITIGATE: There were no funds in materlal deficit. FINANCIAL MITIGATION: The Trustees actioned redundancies in response to programme closures and funding cuts to ensure the organisation's finances were managed prudently and on an ongoing basis. FUNDS HELD BY THE CHARITY AS A CUSTODIAN TRUSTEE: None- not applicable. RESTRicfioNS ON WHO CAN BENEFIT There are no restrlctions on who can benefit. We do not charge any fees. There are no charges to access any events or serlices. There are no restrictions based on personal characteristics. PUBLIC BENEFIT The dlrect benefits whlch flow from our purposes include: improved soclalising and networking skills. confldence; Improved health and social wellbeing. PRIVATE BENEFIT There is no private benefit to any Indivldual HARM No harm has flowed from any of our Purposes.
