Flnances:
The opening balance wa5 £4234.32, the Parish finance5 are in a reasonably healthy state at
present. The number of people givingthrou8h the FWO scheme has fallen overthe past few
years, the effect of this on our Church finance5 has been ne8ated by the number of people
who now give money directly into the bank. Church finances are helped enormously by the
rebate we receive from HMRC. this amounted to £12,301.02, without thi5 rebate we would
struggle to exist. The Parish runs a series of "Lenten Lunche5" from Ash Wednesday until
the Wednesday of Easter week, these lunches brin8 members of, not only our local
community. but of the wider community together where they spend 2-3 hours having lunch
and renewing acquaintances, people who find it difficult to get out and about frorn their
home5 have 3 lunch delivered to them. from these lunches alone we gave £3.200 pounds to
eight different tharities.
Our incorne and expenditure balances at 31st December 2016 were
Income
£97,450.62
Expenditure
£97,450.62
We run many other events during the year, a Trecessity in order to bolster our church
income and to allow the parish to 5UPPQrt other deservin8 charities and organisations such
as C.M.S.I, and Children to Lapland Trust.
Our church hall is used extensively throughout the year by different groups such as Bowling
teams, Walker5 8roup, vi5itin8 youth groups, circus skills group. mothers union and other

people who use the premises for meetings and fund raising activities. the church premise5
were used recently to allow family member5 from around the world to Bather together to
rernember a relative who had died just a few week5 previously.
During 2016 we sold the old rectory and purchased a new rectory, this will, hopefully,
reduce our out80ings in relation to the Glebe building.
We have 3 rota 5VStem in place which ensuresthat the same people are not counting any
monies which the parish receives every week, we a150 have trwo people countingthis
money each week.
The finances are managed by the Hon. Treasurer. MrT.Peoples. who reports back to the
select vestry every month or in between if necessary, Vestry members are elected each year
at the General Eastervestry.
