The AGM of the 8otanic Primary School PTA that was held on 24th October 2023. chaired by the Vice-chair of the Governing Body of Botanic Primary School. At that meeting. the out90ing Chair of the PTA - Ms Carver introduced herself . noting that this was her f ifth consecutive year as Chair. She currently has 2 children attending Botanic PS. with three of

I'ebruan. ￿. ?0*4 her older children haviNJ now f inished - but with a sixth starting in September. She went on to note: The purpose of the PTA which was primarily to raise money for the school. The fact that the committee had met five times and who the various office holders had been - with all the work 'behind the scenes. noted. The Hallowe'en Disco had again taken place- with the children in fancy Dress. Christmas Nalivity had been greatly enhanced by the hospitality provided through the donated buns and some home baking. A large amount of money had been raised with the tradilional Valentine's Day Disco being replaced by sessions wilh 'Fitness Freddie.. The tuck shop was also greatly appreciated. There had been the Iraditional annual Easter Bonnet competition - with prizes of Easter eggs and chocolate treals for all. The Scavenger Hunt had been an outstanding success- again after P4-7 Sports Day. Some possible creative thinking had involved 'Google' which would be noted when planning future events. Cash for Clobber had again taken place and would continue next year. A huge thanks to so many people. notably, Maya and 'Judge' Douglas with Mrs Ireland's help on the Tombola greatly appreciated. Mr Bell presented the accounts for the year which will be subsequently independently audited. The trustees have regard to the Charity Commission's Public Benefit requirement. and it hos been previously agreed that the report of the out90in9 (now current) Chair would be an effective summary of the previous PTA activities in the period covering the f inancial year. The PTA started their financial yeor with a credit balance of £3663. 19 and f inished it with a credit balance of £4378.08. This ref lected income of £3191.56 and expenditure of £2476.67.
