St Column's Prlrnary Sthool PTA Trustees. report for the year ended 31 August 2023 The trustees present their reportand financial statements forthe yearended 31August 2023. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note I to the financial statements and comply with the charitrfs governing document, the Charities Act 2011 and 'Accounting and Reporting by charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102), las amended for accounting periods commencing from ljanuary 2016). Objectlves and Activities We actively organise events to raise funds that will directly benefit the pupils and school. We also actively help atvarious events held bythe school. We facilitate communication between the PaTrt and the school by producing a newsletter. The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the charity Commission in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. Flnanoal Review Income for the year was £11,877.00 This was achieved from a range of fundraising events including.. Halloween disco, Christmas Coffee mornin& Easter Raffle, Danceathon and a Summer Fair. The total expenditure for the year was £17,623.00. Expenses due to fund raisers were £722.00. The main itemsof expenditu were the purchases ofiPad's £9300.00, OutdoorPlav Equipment £4000.00 and Books £lOOO.00. An opening bank balance of £10,932.00 decreased to a closing balance of £5,186.00.
