Structure, Governance and Management
Naíscoil An Traonaigh is governed by its Constitution. The trustees at the date of this report and those who served during the financial year together with the dates of any changes are set out are listed below.

Objectives and Activities Objectives
The aim of the Naíscoil is to: - Enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age by encouraging parents/guardians to understand and provide for the needs of their children by-: - Offering appropriate play facilities, with the right of parents /carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the Naíscoil, ensuring that the Naíscoil offers opportunities without discrimination, for all children, regardless of region, culture, race or means. - Encouraging the study of the needs of such children and their families and promoting public interest in and recognition of such needs of such children and their families in the local areas. - Advancing Irish-medium education and social care and in particular to advance the education and social care of children, young people and parents associated with the project. - Supporting the values and principles of Altram.
Key Activities in this Year
Work commenced inside the Naiscoil building to upgrade different areas to enhance the experience for the children. New library corner added including natural plants and a bigger space for the children to gather for story time. Naiscoil took the kids an various trips including a trip to local fun farm and nearby forest park. As well as enjoyed a great day engaging in sports day upcoming graduation scheduled soon also.
Upgraded digging area outdoors and ongoing extras being added to the mud
kitchen.
Financial Review
Review of Business
Naíscoil An Traonaigh is non-profit making with net income and resources in this year of £8,056. The trustees continue to manage resources in an efficient and sustainable manner.
Reserves Policy
Naíscoil An Traonaigh have a Reserves Policy, which requires that reserves are built or maintained at a level which ensures that the organisations core activities could continue during a period of unforeseen difficulty and that the organisations known liabilities will be paid should the organisation cease to trade.
Future Plans
Naíscoil An Traonaigh plan to continue to focus on controlling costs, while maintaining the high standards of service to our beneficiaries. Lack of funding available for next year will require increased fundraising efforts to ensure the service can continue. Plan already implemented by the trustees for this.
STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES’ RESPONSIBILITIES
for the year ended 31/8/22
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with all appropriate regulations. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
In so far as the trustees are aware:

there is no relevant information (information needed by the charity's independent examiner in connection with preparing the independent examiners report) of which the charity's independent examiner is unaware, and
-
the trustees have taken all the steps that they ought to have taken to make themselves aware of any relevant independent examiner information and to establish that the charity's independent examiner is aware of that information.
