2022-23 Report
Chair’s Report:
Following on from the impact of Covid to the work of the PTA there was an overall agreement that 2022-23 would be a year of general support for the work of the school without any significant fundraising events to allow parents and families to continue to recover from the impact and disruption of the previous two years.
The PTA provided catering at the school Harvest Service in October, at the Christmas Carol Service and the Spring Tea. PTA also provided catering for the P7 Leavers’ assembly in June.
An open meeting for all parents was held in May 2023. There was a pleasing turnout of parents who had a lot of fresh ideas. From those assembled there was a full agreement that from September 2023 the PTA would resume fundraising activities as well as continuing to support other school events.
It was also decided that the PTA Facebook page would be revived and kept updated in terms of all things PTA.
Treasure’s Report:
The opening balance in September 2022 was £ 4972.39 and the closing balance was £5598.21. Contributions to the PTA came in via Amazon Smile and Easyfundraising as well as a contribution from Gift Aid of £731.07. Expenditure went on bank fees and the annual payment to Parentkind.
Going forward the school have asked for a contribution of funds to go towards new outdoor play equipment for the nursery and there was overall agreement that this new project could be partially supported from PTA funds.
