Trustee’s Report 1[st] September 2021-31[st] August 2022

The FOSF worked very hard this year to continue to move forward through Covid. We had received a Grant late in the previous year to purchase Chromebooks for those families that were in need. We finished payment on these from Curry’s and they were given to families by the principal and vice Principal according to need. This year we purchased cakes for the P4’s doing their first Penance this year. We also received a credit union grant this year to go toward sensory toys for our nurture room. We had a magic show for all the children. We helped to provide a snake pack for children on sports day. For our first year Covid free we did our best to try and continue to keep extra activities that were needed in the school. We also did a Take 500 grant (in partnership so money paid directly to Healthy Kidz) with Healthy Kidz to help provide PE and after school sports/activities for the children.

We as trustee’s have done our very best to have regard to the Commission’s Public benefit requirements and statutory guidance.

Our accounts were independently audited, and we were able to carry over a balance of 2113.52 for the 22/23-year period.

We have added more members to our committee that will be included in next year's trustee’s report.

Our Charity number is 10260. We are under the title of The Friends of St. Francis and are often shortened to FOSF.

The names of our Trustees are included in our records if they are needed but will keep names out of this report for anonymity.

We have an AGM at the beginning of each year where individuals are asked then seconded into the roles in our committee which include; Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, fundraising, and social media.

Any member of the committee can invite new members into the meetings, and they are then asked if they would like to become a trustee.

We are in the process of changing our banking system because there are no First Trust banks in Lurgan, so we have less signees right now until the banking has been changed over.

We have no funds held by a custodian trustee.

Our main goal as a Charity is to make sure that the Children and their families within our school are provided for. We also work within the Community with other groups and organizations to make it a positive environment for everyone that we meet.
