The Directors are pleased to present their annual report together vith the financial statements of the Charity
for the year ended 31 March 2024 which are also prepared to meet the requirements for a Directors, report
and accounts for Companies Act purposes.
The financial statements comply with the Charities Act INI) 2022. the Companies Act 2006, the Memorandum
and Articles of Associatson, and Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities prepanng their accounts in accordance wth the Financral Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic Of Ireland (FRS102) (effective 1 January 2019.)
The company is govemed by a Memorandum and Articles Of Association dated 05101112. The company
number is Nl 610562 and the registerd office is 18 Balliniska Road, Springtown Industrial Estate, Derry. The
company Is a ￿gIstered Northern Ireland charity- reference NIC 102595.

Chairs report
It has been my privilege to serve as Chairperson this year, and I took on this role to support our coordinator
and fellow committee members to continue our charrtable VK)rk in the local comrnunty.
Our mission is to promote Active Living among older people and to improve their qualty of life. health, and
wellbeing. The flexibility, dedication and energy of our Coordinator Angelina has ensured Ally Foyle achieved
great success this year both in securing funding from a ￿nge of sources, expanding seprfices and offenng
direct support to individual members and netrNork groups.
The Ally FOY￿ Facebook site has grown considerably this year and the contsnued active promotion of activities
by our coordinator has been very much welcomed by members, and for groups not online the monthly
information bulletsn has been very popular and ensures all members are kept up to date Y￿th current and
upcoming events and activits'es.
This current period saw Ally Foyle ne￿ork involved in a wide range of activities and Pfomotions.. Free Books
and magazines, Smart pass availability, Tickets for the Monthly Mayors Tea dances. engagement sessions
with Macmillan Cancer Support, Carers monthly drop in group Servi￿$. yoga virtual events, distribution of Ally
Foyle packs { Cookery packs, Keep Warm at Home packs etc), Healthy Cooking videos and sessions, and
benefit checker for older people to ensure all benefit entrtlements are being claimed for.
Feedback from our nefvrfork members, through Facebook, email and text messages has been very positive
and I would like to acknowledge thanks to all participants in our activities. your continued support has helped
the network to expand and reach more older people in the community.
I would like to thank my fellow committee members for showing up on a regular basis to meetings and events,
for providing advi￿ and contributing to additional ways of meeting the needs of older people in the
community, your individual contributions have very much supported Ally Foyle's achievements this year.

Our purposes and activlties
The purposes of the Charty is to provide active ageing programmes for older people in the Foyle area and to
develop partnerships with appropriate nefv￿rks and relevant agencies. This is done with the help of public
funding and 811 activities are funded from grants received.
In shaping our objectives for the year and planning our activities. the directors have considered the Charity
Commission's guidance on public benefit requirement (PBR11. We endeavour to encourage a wide range of
people and organisations to take advantage of our expertise and promote all wthin our community to make
use of our Servi￿5.
We have put these strategies into athon through various prcMJrammes and aCts'v￿.es as outlined in the Chairfs
Report and in our programme for the coming 2024-25 season. This programme of acts'vits'es focuses very
much on supports'ng our members.
Voluntoern
The Charity Is very involved in the communty and we rely on voluntary help. We are assisled by volunteers
within each older people's group who help organise programmes within the Individual clubs and groups

The organisation has close relats'onships wrth other groups in the Foyle area engaged in the provision of
services to older people.
Achievements and perfornian¢e
In addition to the mainstay of our annual programme we provide information to older people. offer training and
consultation's and provide different resources such as feel safe leaflets, fire safety leaflets, falls prevention
leaflets, gripper handles. medicine bottles, magnrfiers, walking maps, information leaflets, & hot drink mugs.
We ne￿Ork with different groups and clubs and offer advice and infomiation through email, social media and
newsletters directly posted out to older people.
Financial Review
As outlined above all activities are funded by grants received. During the year income of £51,039 was
received and total costs were £42,671. This left a surplus for the year of £8.368 whTrch when added to
opening reserves of £25.506, left the Charity with reserves of £33.874 at the year end.
The Directors were pleased wrth the results for the year. The unrestricted reserves at the yearend were
£2,815.

Reserves pollcy and golng concern
Reserves are needed to brKJge the gap between the spending and receiving of income and to cover
unplanned emergency costs. Due to the nature of Charity. no acts'vits'es are started or costs incurred until
funding is in place. The Directors consider that it is not necessary tt) have unrestricted reserves as funding is
in pla￿ to meet all costs.
The trustees have reviewed the circumstsnces of the Charty and consider that there is secured funding in
place that is adequate to fund activities for the foreseeable future. The directors are of the view that the
Charity is a going COn￿M.
We will conts'nue to source funding for the nehvork. Our Servi￿ level agreement has been exiended until
March 2024 to ensure our sustainability.
Plans for future periods
We plan to conb'nue to offer a variety of programmes and activities directly to older people in their clubs,
groups, community centres and sheltered l assisted living accommodations. We will continue to source extra
funding for the delivery of positive ageing programmes that we plan directly with older people.
Ne￿OrkIng and partnerships are a part of the success of Ally Foyle and the management CoMm￿ee assists
in helping develop projects that take place. We continue to meet our aims and objectives by supporb'ng and
netr￿orkIng with voluntary & community member groups along with relevant statutory agencies. In order to
challenge these issues, we continue to sit on various committees working with older people.
We have a yearly service level agreement with the WHSCT, who continue to provide funding towards Active
Ageing Programmes for our member groups.

Statement of trustees. responslbilltles
The Charity Trustees (who are also the directors of the ALLY Foyle Ltd for the purposes of company law) are
responsible for preparing a Trustees, Annual Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable
law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards {Unrted lQngdom.Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
Company law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year vthich give a true
and fair view of the stste of affairs of the charitable company and of the profit or10ss of the company for that
year.
In preparing these the Trustees a￿ required to..

make judgements that are reasonable and prudent"
state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures
disclosed and explained in the financial statements.,

organisats'on will continue in business.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy
at any lime the financial posits'on of the organisatson. They are also resp)nsible for safeguarding the assets of
the organisation and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detectson of fraud and other
irregulartties.
This report has been prepared in accordance with the speual provisions for small companies under part 15 of
the Companies Act 2006.
