REPORT OF THE DIRECTORS
The directors present their report together with the audited financial ststements for the year ended
30th September 2023.
INCORPORATION
The company was incorporated on the 16th December 1997.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND BUSINESS REVIEW
The principal activities of the organisation are to provide in community sports facilities.
The company is a registered charity, limited by guarantee and not having a share capital.
The directors consider the perforniance of the company during the period and its position at the year end
to be satisfactory.
RESULTS
The profit of the company for the year ended 30th September 2023 was £6,385 and was all
attributed to the principal activity.
ACCOUNTANTS
The accountants, O'Hara Shearer have expressed their willingness to continue in office and
a resolution, will be proposed at the Annual General Meeting in accordance with
Section 485 of the Companies Act 2006.
SMALL COMPANY EXEMPTIONS
This report has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions for small companies
under Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.

STATEMENT OF DIRECTORS, RESPONSIBILITIES
Company Law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year
which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the profit or loss of
the company for that period.
In preparing those financial statements, the directors are required to:
select suitsble accounting policies and apply them consistently"
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to
any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements.
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is
inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business.

accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and to enable them to ensure that
the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006.
They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking

ACCOUNTANT'S REPORT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON THE
UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
In accordance with the engagement letter and in order to assist you to fulfil your duties under tlie
Companies Act 2006 we have compiled the financial infomiation of Gort Na Mona Sports Association
which comprises the Income and Expenditure Account, the Balance Sheet and the related notes from
the accounting records and information and explanations you have given to us.
This report is made to the Company's Board of Directors, as a body, in accordance with the terms of
our engagement. Our work has been undertaken so that we might compile the financial statements the we
have been engaged to compile, report to th¢ Company's Board of Directors that we have done so,
and state those matters that we have agreed to state to them in this report and for no otlier purpose.
To the fullest extent pemiitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than
the Company and the Company's Board of Directors, as a body, for our worl or for this report.
We have carried out this engagement in accordance with guidance issued by the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in Ireland and have complied with the ethical guidance laid down by the Institute relating to
members undertaking the compilation of financial statements.
You have acknowledged on the Balance She¢t for the year ended 30th September 2023 your duty to
ensure that the company has kept proper books of account and to prepare financtal statements tliat give a
true and fair view under the Companies Act 2006. You consider the company is exempt from the
statutory requirement for an audit for the year.
We have not been instructed to carry out an audit of the financial statements. For this reason, we
have not verified the accuracy or completeness of the books of account or information or explanations
you have given to us and we do noL therefore, express any opinion on the financial statements.

STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1.1 Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities:
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard which applies in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)
(effective l January 2015) - (Charities SORP (FRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable
in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2014.
1.3 Grants
Grants, including grants for the purchase of fixed assets are amortised and released to the income
and expenditure account at rates applicable to the associated assets depreciation.

4. Legal status
Gort Na Mona Sports Association is a recognised Charity within the definition of Section 360(3)
Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1970.
Gort Na Mona Sports Association is a Company Limited by Guarantee. Each member has agreed to
contribute £1 in the event of a compulsory winding up.
