We have examlned your charity account5 a5 required under Sectlon 65 of the Charltles Art and our
examination was carried out In accordance wlth the Benerdl dlrertlons 8lven by the Ch•rlty
Commlsslon for Northem Ireland under Sectlon 6519)(b) of the Charltles Act.
Our examlnation included a review of the accounting records kept by Ihe charlty and a comparI￿n of
the accounts presented wlth those records. It also Included conslderatlon5 of any unusual items or
dlsclosures In the accounts, and seeklng explanatlon from you as charity members concernlng any
such matters.

The Managernent Commlttee present their report and the financial statements for the year
ended 31st August 2024.
Objectives and acilvltles
The maln thNst of the work Is to enable local resldents. raise awareness, promote new
opportunitie5 and glve the communlty a collective base from whlch to proactfvely address
thelr concems. The Network alm to help people both young and old that have been
excluded from Ilfe chances to live fuller Ilves and partlclpate In thelr ￿MmunIty. The tar8ét
client group Is the most marginalised and socially disadvantaged resldents especially the
eldetlyi youth who hang about the street corners. unemployed, chlldren from low income
families. residents sufferlng from poor health and lone parents who are findlng It dlfflcult
to manage on thelr own and who feel i501ated within thelr homes. Slnce March 2004, the
group have secured Premises frorn the houslng assoclatlon 'Apex Housin¢ and have
refurblshed the premlses by creatln8 a communal kitchen, a large meetlngltralnln￿aCt￿[tY
room and Offl￿ accommodation. Over the past two years we have set up a ran8e of service4
activitie5 and prograrnmes for resldents of all ages wlthln our locality. The programme of
actlvltles Is always flexlble enou8h so to allow for innovative proposals and the dlfferent
eeds of different resldents. Residents have the opportunlty to meet new frlerbds, learn
new skills. houslng advlce. take up local accesslbje tralnlng and educatlonal prozrammes
and posltive parentln& healthy eatln81 peer educatlon4 youth dlverslonary proJeas• yQ4lth
Club twlce weeklyi parent & toddler group. communlty art project & environmental clean
up campaigns. In addftlon, the hope to enable Indlvlduals to achleve personal competencl•$
such as self-confidence, communlcation skills, independent thou8ht and115tenlng sklll5,
which are all decisive wlth regards to tralnln& education and ernployment prospects,

The members have assessed the major risks to whlth the organlsatlon Is exposed, in
partlcular those related to the operatlons and finances of the association. and are satlsfled
that Systems are in place to mltlgate the exposure to the major risks.

The members are responsible for preparfnB the annual report and the Ilnancial statements In
accordance wlth applkable law and Unlted Kln8dom Generally Attepted Accountlng Practice.
The law appllcable to charities in Northern Ireland requlres the members to prepare the
financial 5taternents that 8lve a true and fair view of the state Df affalrs of the charfty at the
end of the flnanclal year and of Its surplus or deflclt for the flnandal year. In doin8 SQ the
