**Purposes:** The Association is established in Ballynahinch and its environs in County Down (the area of  benefit) :  To provide or secure the provision of social services, practical assistance and act  as a sign posting forum to appropriate service for the benefit of the general public in the area of benefit;      To ensure that there is a multi-agency approach to suicide prevention and positive mental health in the Ballynahinch area of the widest possible representation;  To seek to ensure that there are tangible suicide prevention activities undertaken to   address prevention, intervention and postvention;   To promote the preservation and protection of health among people of all ages by providing or assisting in the provision of appropriate, professional locally-based counselling services for those in need, who would not otherwise be able to avail of such services through lack of means.
