The aceounts have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sèt OLEI in note 1 to the accounts
and cornply with the charity's goveming documont, tho Companies Act 2006 and the Statement of

The objects are lo provide fa¢tlities in the interest of soctal weEfare for the advancement of education, the
perservation of health and rec￿ats.0n or other leisure time activities within obje¢t of improving the quality of
life of people in the Larne area wilhoul distinction of age, sex, ra￿, political or religious opinion and to provide
and secure thè provision of welfare rights and advise and refer those in need of assislan¢e lo the relevant
agen￿es.
The Directors & Trustees have paid due regard to guidanee issued by Charity Commisston in deciding
what activities the chartty should undertske.

Applications for employrr*ent by disabled per80ns are always fully ¢on$idered, bearing in mind the aptftudes of
the applicant concerned. In the event of members of stsff beGoming disabled, every effort is madè lo ensure
that their employment within the charity ¢ontinugs and that the appropriate training is arranged. It is the policy
of tho chaAty that the training, career development and promotion of disablèd ￿r$on$ should, as f?r as
posslble. be klentical lo that of other etnployees.
Achievements and perfomance
The charty has continued to ensure that facilities aftd provisions are provided to the community to enable its
oblgcls lo be fijifilled.
Financial review
The accounts have be&n propared for the year ended 31 March 2022. The Trustees are Sa￿$116d wllh the
results for the year.
It is the policy of the charity that unrestricted funds which have not been designated for a spectfic use should
be maintained al a level aquivalenl lo between one and ttvo months expenditure. The Director5 & Trustees
conslder that reseNes al this level will ensure that, in the event of 8 signffic8nt drop in funding. they will be
able lo continue the charity's CUTrenl actimlies while considemtion is given to ways in which additional funds
may be raised. This level of res¢rv¢s has been maintained throughout the year.
The Directors & Trustses have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, and afft satisfied that
systems are in place to mitigate exposure lo the m8jor risks.
Structure, governance and managemènt
The charity is a company limited by guardntee arjd was incorporated on 17 September 1996 .
The Trustees, who are also the directors for the purpose of company law, and who served during the year and
up to the date of signaturo of the financial statements were..

in keeping with the pursu8nce of its Objects, and lo this end it is entitted lo advertise and interview eligible
candidates lo be potential trustees of the board.
None of the Dire¢tor8 & Trustees h2ve any beneficial interest in thè ¢otTipany. Al of the Directors & Trustees
are membets of tre company and guarantee to contribute £1 in the event of a winding UP.
New trustees are invited and encouraged to attend a series of short training sessions to familiarise themselves
with the charty and the context wthin which it operates.
