The Egyptian Society of N. Ireland:
It is a charity organization for the members of the Egyptian Community as well as the other Arab Community members living in N. Ireland. The Society’s main activities are social activities and is limited within N. Ireland.

Discussions:
The AGM discussed:

The charity account for the last year and it was endorsed by the attendees.

The activities and the meetings of the community for the last year and accepted that all the events and meeting will be self funded by the community members whom are taking part in the activity plus any donations from within or outside the community.

The reason for not being able to get external or governmental funds for the charity. The committee requested voluntary help from other members of the community to apply for such funds.

The resignation of Dr Ayman Morsy from his role as a trustee.

The appointment of 2 new trustees, Mis Aya Fawzy and Mrs Leigh Cowan.

Actively extending invitation for membership for the other members of the Egyptian and the Arab Communities whom are living in N. Ireland but are living outside Belfast in the peripheral areas of the country to increase the number of the members and generate income to the organization.

Activities:
The charity organized 5 different family based events which were all self funded equally by the sharing families to celebrate the following:

Ramadan.

Eid El Fitr.
-
Eid Al Adha
-
Christmas.
-
Ester.
Plans:
The AGM recommended to apply for governmental funds for the next year and to collect donations from interested friends, and local orgaizations to fund the activities of the next year.
It is also agreed to change the old system for yearly subscription to be 10 pounds for each adult member per year instead of the old system of 10 pounds for family per year.
The Executive committee will decide the activities for the next year and will lead the funds campaign.
