## **Treasurer Report**

## **Caroline Douglas – 9 April 2024**

## **Our Current Account Status**

1. TACA’s accounts were audited in February 2024 and received a clean bill of health.

2. At year end cash in bank was £ £5,385.47 however some of these funds are in reserve and so TACA has £4,824.31 cash at present. This is virtually unchanged from last year’s balance.

3. The following grants were received for projects in Templepatrick:

   - ANBC Insurance Grant

   - Speed indicator grant

   - Coronation grant – Community Fund

   - Coronation grant – Enkalon fund

4. By receiving a generous grant for the Coronation event and also the additional funding from local businesses in sponsorship this generated extra income for the group which allowed the group to fund other initiatives such as donations to causes such as recognises the passing of long-term resident Isabella Todd and the purchase of the memorial tree for Dr Stirling and also the recent Women’s Health event.

5. The above healthy cash position means that TACA can afford the spend for the May picnic event – 2 grants have been applied for to cushion the anticipated costs and we have been successful in obtaining these.

Bouncy Castles etc £950 First Aid £125 Brass band £750 Marquee with flooring £950 and chairs Crafts £210 Balloon Modelling £200 Miscellaneous £200

6. **Speed Indicator** – as you’re aware we receive grant funding, and this was used to purchase new batteries for the device at a cost of £306.

7. **Christmas Light Up** – due to late decision to run this event we did not avail of grant funding but due to generous sponsorship we were able to run this event at a very small cost. We anticipate costs will be higher in 2024 as we take over hire of Santa.

8. **Bank Account Practical Arrangements needed:** after the election our new Chair/Vice Chair etc will need to arrange to visit Ulster Bank to sign up as a bank signatory. We also need to change the address on our bank account. I would suggest myself, Billy Cathcart as signatories visit the bank along with any new signatories and make changes as required.
