The trustees who are a150 directors of the charity for the PUTposes of the Companies Act 20061 PTesent their
report with thc fu]ancial statements of the CE￿Ity for the year ended 31 August 2022. Th¢ trustees have
adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by ChaTities: Statement of Reconllnended Practice
&ppLicable to charities prcparing th¢ir accounts in accordanc¢ with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ircland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2019).
INCORPORATION
The charitable company was incorporated on 10 December 21X)2 and commenced trading on th¢ same date.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives And aims
The company's charitable objectives are to enhance the development and educati()n of children under
Statutory school agc in areas of Social and economic dcprivation and in particular the Strathfoyle, Maydown,
and Eglinton areas of Derry and their environs by encouraging parents/guardian5 to undeTStand and provide
for the necds of their children by: (a) Offering appropriat¢ play facilitie5. With the right of parent51Garers to
take responsibility for and to become involved in the activitics of the group, ensuring that the group offers
opportunities for all children, regardless of religion, culture, racc or mean5: (b) Encouraging the study of the
needs of such children and their families and promoting public interest in and recogniliun of such needs of
such children and th¢ir families in the local areas. (c) Instigating and adhering to and fjjrthering the aims of
Early Ycars The Organisation for YounK Children.
Actlvltles
The group provided a safe and satisfying programme of play to advance the educational. personal and social
development of the young children attending the group, including those with special need5, and continued to
support the parents and carers of those children. The health, safety and welfare of the children is paramounl
within the setting and all activities were fully supervised by trained vetted staff with minimal risk. PaTent.q
and carers wcre encouraged to participate in the playgroup's programme and a varicty uf training
programmes wcre covering par¢Dting and communication skills to cquip parents and carers with the.
skills and confidence to make a fuller and more positive contribution to their children's development. The
company operates from its own pr¢mises and provides all necessary equipment for its day to day activities.
Trie gruup received grant assistancc from the various contributors as listed on "Incoming Rc50urces" and
also rc¢eived fees and raised fijnds for the benefit of the children.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
For this financial yeaT, through the playgroup sessions, the charity fulfilled its objectives providing a safe
and satis￿"ng programme advancing the early education, personal and social dcvclopment of many young
hildren.
The charity has also been able to replacelrenew it's outdoor area and outdoor equipment this year thaDks to
fijnding secur¢d from Da¢ra, HSC - Childcare Partnerships (CCP) and Cooperation Ireland Small Capital
GraThts programrne.
Tbrough the continued support from The Pathway Fund and Small Pockets of Deprevation Fund , the charity
has been able to sustain salaries for four staff members and to run Prograrnmes for the children such as Joe
Jingles, Kidz Playtime, Arts & Crafts and supply new indoor equipmentlresources.
GOING CONCERN
Duc to thc Icvcl of rescrves and funding secured from Thc Pathways Fund for 16 children, funding from the
Small Pockets of Deprivation Fund and funding from The Community Fund - RTE Toy Show Appeal,
together with smallcr amounts from various funders. the TnL5t¢es are satisfied that th¢ f￿anCIal statements
should be prepared on the going concern basis.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
The results for the financial yeaT are set out in the Statement of Financial Activities. DuTing the year ended
31 August 2022 the charity geneTated a surplus in restricted reserves of £8,038. Please note that the surplus
in restricted reserves has arisen due to grants being recoguised in year of receipt with no Income being
deferred in order to keep the accounts in line with the Charities SORP (FRS102) please refer to
Accounting Policies - note l - Income.
On top of The PathwaWSPOD funding secured for the operation of the playgroup, the charity was also able
to secure funding from Cooperation ]relan(L Daera (RAPID) and HSC - Childcar¢ Partner$￿'ps, which was
used to renew the outdoor area and outdoor equipment.
The c.harity also seciired fiinding from The Community Fund - RTE Toy Show Appeal to be used for
alaries, volunteers and activities and fijnding from John Moore Foundation to go towards running costs..
No significant events have occurred since the date of the Balance Sheet which affect the organisation or
which materially affect these fuwicial statements.
Risk Mpdnagement
The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposerfL in particular those related to the
nperatinns and financeq nf the c.harity. and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitig.ate the exposurr. to
the major risks.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND hfANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity is controlled by its governing docurnent, a deed of trust, and constitutes a limited company,
limited by guarantee. as defined bv the Companies Act 2006.
Recrultment and appointment of new trustees
Tiny Tots Community Playgroup is CUTt¢nily govern¢d by a Board of seven trustees and 8 Company
Secretary.
The board can ¢o-OPt new trustees as and when required. The charitys chair is elected from the membeTS on
an annual basis and is ratifi¢d at the Annual General Meeting.
There are currently 7 members on ihe Management Comniittee together with the Company Secretary and
th¢ic have be¢n no new appoinlmcnts OVCT ycar.
Organlsational structure
Day to day running of the cornpany is managed by the Project Manager and operational management of the
project is managed by the management Committee.
Inductfion and training of new trustees
New directors are briefed on their legal obligations under cE￿ity and company law, the content of the
Arti¢l¢s of Association. the comn]ittee and decision-making process, and recent financial perforn]ance of the
charity.
Related parties
None of the members receive remuneration or othcr bcn¢fit from th¢ir work with the charity. Any connection
between a member or senior rnanager of the charity with a contracted supplicr must be disclosed to the ￿11
Management Committee in the same way as any other cpntractual relationsbip with a related paty. In the
current year no such related party transactions were reported.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILJTIES
The trustees (who are also the directors of Tiny Tots Community Piaygroup for the PUTposes of cornpany
law) are responsible for preparing the Report of the Trustees and the financial statements in accordance with
applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (Unitcd Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Prnctice).
Company law requires the truste¢s to preparc financial statements for each financial year which give a trne
and fair view of the state of affaiTS of the charitable company and of the incoming resources and application
of resources. including the income and expenditurc, of the charitable company for that period. In preparing
those financial statements, the trustecs are required to
select suitabl¢ accounting policies ond thcn apply thcm consistcntly;
obscrve the methods and principles ID the Charity SORP.
make judgements and estimates ihat are reasonable and prudent:
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriatc to presum¢ that the
charitable company will continue in business.
The trustees arc responsible for keeping proper accounting re¢ords whi¢h disclose with reasonable accwacy
at any time th¢ financial position of the chantable coinpany dnd to enable them to ensure ihat the financial
statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of
the charitdbltt company and hence for takinE reasonable step8 fDT the. prevention ind detection of froud and
other irregularities.
In so far as the Trustees are aware:
there is no relevant infoTmation of which the charitable companys independent examiner is unawaTe; and
the Management Committee have tsk¢n all steps that they ought to have taken to make
themselves
aware of any relevant infonnation and to establish that thc independent examiner is aware of that
information.
