**Purposes:** The club is established:  To promote the relief of elderly people in any manner which now is or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable within the area of benefit and in particular but not exclusively by:  •	The provision of recreational and leisure facilities •	The provision of advice and information on benefit entitlement •	The provision and dissemination of information on benefit entitlement •	The provision of education, training and health promotion for older people and their carers •	Raising awareness among the general public of the needs and experiences of older people in the area of benefit •	Supplying transport services for elderly people to enable them to live fulfilled lives •	Advocating on issues relevant to older people to raise awareness and promote public education •	Providing a network for older people and older people’s groups that creates connections between them and encourages their mutual support   Area of benefit shall be The Fountain area of Londonderry and its environs.
