**- The Simpson Grant Association, Dergina Annual report 2023** 

The Annual General meeting of the above association was held on Tuesday 6[th] February 2024 at 7:30pm, in Dergina Orange Hall. Mr Trevor Ashfield took the chair and thanked the members for attending. 

The secretary read the minutes of the last AGM and confirmed charity accounts and report will be submitted following this meeting. The minutes were passed by all present. 

The chairman then gave the annual report, he stated: 

_The association continues to re-establish activates after covid and I wish to thank all those who helped over the difficult period, thankfully things had returned to normal in 2023 but It would be good to see the group develop more actvities now._ 

_The association has continued to receive grants from Mid-Ulster Council, and other funders, and our thanks is due to the secretary for his hard work in this regard, the Micro Grants from DAERA were also a good funding source._ 

_The facilities are very well used once again, with the issue of parking now dealt with and Car Park/recreaction area working well. Storage is becoming an issue once again, and thanks to Dale for putting up shelves in the existing store._ 

_Our next project continues to be the creation of a wildlife area behind the hall, with walks and seating area. We look forward to seeing some developments over the next year_

The Treasurer Mrs Duff then gave the financial report, she stated that the micro grants continued, but the council grant had been missed in 2023; She also stated reserves would still not cover the new wildlife area, but hopefully it will be possible with outside funding. 

The Chairman thanked the officers and members for the hard work over the last year and declared all office vacant. Mr Dale Givans proposed all officers be re-elected, this was seconded by Mr Trevor Quinn and agreed by all present. Officers are as listed below.

A Committee meeting was arranged for early April to look at the issues raised, after which the meeting was closed.
