The registered name of the organisation is The Jlll Todd Trust (The Jrri. It was created by Trust D8éd and
came into existence on 24 January 2011. The trus1 was subsequently registered with the charity commission
on 8 June 2015 under charity number NIC102553.
Mr B Todd Is appolnted by the Board of Truslees to supervise the day to day operalions of the charity. There is
no remuneration paid to Mr B Todd by the Trusl in relation lo this role.
Actlvltle•
Because of the unsustainable dependence on volunteering-input from many generous contributors, including
photographic galleri8s over the past eleven years, a decision was reluctantly taken by the Trustees lo cease
the activities of the Jill Todd Photographic Award.
However, the Ulster University award for the best end-of-course photography student, initiated and activated
by the Jill Todd Trust, still continues and will do for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile. othei activities which address the accredited objectives of the Jill Todd Trust continue.
These are as follows..
Ask an Architect An annual event where archilecls throughout North8rn Ireland giv8 one-hour
consultations to enquiring public participants for a donation of £40 which 18 then forwaided to the
Friends of the Cancer Centre and hence lo the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology at tho City
Hospital. Belfast. To avoid having to pay fees lo online-evenl facilrtators e.g. Eventbrite. and ther8fore
maximise revanue raised, donations made are channelled via co-organisers, the Royal Society of U151er
Architects. directly to the Friends of the Cancer Centre as opposed to being, as previously was the
case, through the Jill Todd Trust.
Free Will Good will An annual event where Hillsborough solicitors, Thompson Mrtchell. prepare
'wills' in turn for a donation to the Jill Todd Trust, all funds Ihus raised bein9 forwarded to the Friends
of the Cancer Centre and hence to Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology at Ihe City Hospital,
Belfast.
General ongoing fund raising to assisl research into finding a CU￿ for cancer and the promotion of
photography and early-career photographers.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE CHARITY TRUSTEES OF THE JILL TODO TRUST
We report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 December 2022 which are S8t out on pages 4 to 6.
RESPECTIVE RESPONS181LITIES OF CHARITY TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordan￿ with the Charities
Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is our responsibilty to:
Examin8 the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008;
Follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Commission under section
65(9)(b) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008- and
State whether particular matters have come to our attention.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
We have examined your charlty accounts as required under section 65 of the Charilies Act and our examination
was caffied out in accordance with the general Directions given by Ihe Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
under 8ection 65{9)(b) of the Charities Act.
Our examination included a review of the accounting records kepl by the charrty and a comparison of tha
accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in
the accounts. and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees conceming any such matters.
Our role is to Stsla whether any material matters have come to our attention giving us cause to believe..
Thai accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charitias Act.
That the accounts do not accord with thosa accounting records.
That the accounts do not compty with the accounling requirements of the Charities Act.
That there is further infomiatton needed for a proper undarstanding of the accounts to be reached.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
We have completed our examination and have no concerns in respect of the malters (1) to14) listed above and,
in connection with following the Direclions of the Charity Commission for Northern Ifaland. wa have found no
malters that require drawing to your attention.
