**Purposes:** The Group is established to relieve poverty, advance education, relieve sickness/disability; promote the preservation of health among the elderly and people with disabilities and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Town of Ballynahinch and an area covering 20 miles radius from the town without distinction of age, gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnic origin, political or religious opinion by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
