Achlevements and parformanco
2024 has continued to be a of increased activities for the community and the church. We had a busier Easter
and Christmas season. For the 1Jl time in nearly 30 years we had a Youth Mission team partnered with Exodus
who went into Hungary to help with a youth work. Our Community Pastor was ordained as a Deacon within the
Church of Ireland and was placed with us on his Deacon year. This proved invaluable as the Rector availed of a
sabbatical from August lo Ihe end of October.
'Journey ' women has been another success story of this year providing women In the communlty with a space
for discussion, craft making and wgllbeing.
As a result of thesè aclivilies and appointments we have had another year of growth in numbers and finance.
The gro￿ in finance can be attributed to increased attendance. The ¢hur¢h has continued lo support the local
foodbank and other local charities.
The church '¢omplex' has conlinued to grow as a communlty hub with increased activities for all age groups. Our
youth clubs continue to be popular with the local familles. A 'wam) room, Tuesday mornlng Drop-ln for the elderly
has been a blg success. A new 'movements' class on a Friday has b8en very popular with the more mature
people within our community. Aft8r consultation with Bradley M¢Clur8 Architects plans were submltt8d to add an
annex on to our hall provlding more space for community use.
Another grant from Mind Matters also meant we could re-run our 'Headspace' project. This was an Art based
class to help in getting people to talk about their mental health. This was attended by adults and Children.
Our investment and updating of the church, hall and graveyard has again continued this year. An extension to the
graveyard was approved by plannlng and consecrated by the Bishop, providing an additional 120 graves.
