Activities
The Trustees hold and shall hold the Trust property and the income thereof upon Trust to use and apply the same whether as capital or income for such charitable purposes connected with the advancement of the Christian religion as may from time to time be carried out by or under the direction of members of the said Northern Ireland Section of the Focolare Movement worldwide in accordance with decisions from time to time of the Trustees including in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing a. The promotion of a Christian Spirituality based on the Prayer of Jesus for Unity “that all may be one”, that is His plan of unity for the human family. b. The promotion of harmony or equality and diversity among all the people. c. The relief of any kind of poverty (material, spiritual, psychological, emotional) d. The relief of the sick, aged and those suffering from any mental or physical handicap e. The advancement of education and learning f. The promotion of the mental and moral improvement of people especially in family and community life g. The education and training of persons to further and carry into effect any or all of the above objects. h. To promote dialogue between people of different Christian denomination, between Christians and people of other religions and between Christians and people of no particular faith or religious beliefs i. To provide conditions for and to promote the study of Christian Doctrine, the study of Ecumenism the study of the great religions of the world and the study of contemporary philosophies and to provide coursers in these subjects j. To promote the role of the family as the prime educator in society and to that end to provide courses in relationships, dialogue, parenting and other topics, which would help, promote unity in the family k. To promote the values of the Trust particularly amongst children and young people by involving them in cultural, arts, social settings and sporting events designed to bring about universal fraternity l. To provide a framework for the study, establishment and implementation of initiatives to promote unity in society, the workplace, in educational institutions, in cultural and civic communities and institutions m. To research the possibilities of creating further and better dialogue and unity between people of different beliefs and cultures, religions and denominations and to that end provide where possible a witness to that unity by the international composition of the permanent Focolare community as long as one exists in the territory of Northern Ireland. n. To promote universal fraternity and to work for justice in society and to educate in this regard
