Castlerock Senior Citizens Wednesday Club

Our organisation Is a group which supports elderly people over
the age of 60 in the Castlerock area.
We meet in the Peter Thompson Hall, Castlerock every
Wednesday between October and March, and our format is
indoor bowling followed by tea/coffee and a chat. During the
year we also have guest speakers giving advice to the elderly,
and we organise activities and talks relevant to the educational
and needs of the group's members. We arrange day trips,
trips to the Theatre and lunch time meals for which we provide
transport on all occasions.
This year 30 of our members enjoyed a 5 day tour of the
Highlands of Scotland, staying at the Ardgartan Hotel, Loch
Long where we held A Remembrance Service in the grounds of
the Hotel on Saturday afternoon, Ilth November and laid a
Poppy Wreath. Other Coach Parties staylng at the Hotel were
delighted to join with us at this Servlce.
We have arranged for our Christmas Lunch 2023 at The White
Horse Inn, Campsie and hopefully 50 members will enjoy thls
day.
The purpose of the charity Is to promote inte￿StS, well being
and alleviate loneliness of the aged living in the Castlerock
area.
