Charitable objects Derry & Raphoe Action Limited was set up undei. the supeivision of the Church of Ireland, and in particular th¢ Derry & Rapho¢ Diocese. The object of the coinpany is to promote the regeneration of th¢ area, in particular ensuring that the marginalised communities within the counties of Londonderry, Tyrone and Donegal play their full role ii) the overall r¢g¢n¢ration and in cross border activities, through proinotion and development of social and cultural identity, advanc¢m¢nt of education and provision of recreational and oiher activities in interests of social welfare. Organisational structure The trustees meet r¢gulai'ly, administer the company and make all policy decisions. A development officer is employed to o-ordinate activities and manage the day-to-day running of the coinpaiiy. Review of activilies and achievements The results reflect the activities can'ied on within the charitable company during the year. The trustees are pleased with the level of community development activities cai-ried on during thai year and the gi'ant funding achieved. During the period from l November 2023 to 31 December 2024 the chai'itable company secured funding from the Ulster Scots Agency towards the community impact plan. In addition the charitable company also s¢cured ￿ndIng from Derry City and Strabane District Council, Honoui'able Irish Society, Arts Council Nl, DAERA, Halifax Foundation lyish Government and Children in Need to provide cultural development, educational workshops and for various community festivals. Going concern The Ti'ustees are ¢onfident that further funding will be secured fi'om the Ulster Scots Agency to continue with th¢ community impact plan and are ih¢refore satisfied that it is appropriate for the financial statements lo be prepared on the going concern basis. Company law and charity law requii'es the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial period. Under thai law the trustees have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with applicabl¢ law and the United Kingdom Accounting Standai'ds (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice) including 'Accounting and Repoiting by Charities: Statement of Recoinni¢nded Practice, (FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standai'd applicabl¢ in the UK and Republic of Ireland,). Under company law the Trustees must not approve the financial stalements unless they are satisfied Ihat they give a true and fair view of the state of affaii's of the company and of th¢ profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing these financial statements. the trustees are requii'ed to.. select suitable accounting policies and then apply Ihem consi5tently' make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent. state whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed subject to any depaitures disclosed and explained in the financial slatements. and prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business. The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that ar¢ sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time Ihe financial posilion of the company and enable them to ensui'e that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the ass¢ts of the company and heiice for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. Ac¢ountants The trustees recommend that McFarland Arnold & Co remain in office until further notic¢. Special provisions relating to small companies This report has been prepared in accoi'dance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and R¢porting by Charities (FRS 102) and in accordance witli the special provisions of Part 15 of the Companies Acl 2006 relating to small companies.
