Charitable objects Derry & Raphoe Action Limited was set up under the supervision of the Church of Ireland, and in particular the Derry & Raphoe Diocese. The object of the Company is to pi'omote the regeneration of tlie area, in particular ensuring that the marginalised cominunities within the counties of Londonderry, Tyi'one and Donegal play their full role in the ovei'all regeneration and in cross bord¢r activities, through promotion and developmenl of social and cultural identity, advancement of education and provision of recreational and other activities in intei'ests of social w¢lfar¢. Derry & Raphoe Action Limited is a regisler¢d charity with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland since 8 June 2015, under registration number NICI 02476. Organisational structure The trustees meet regularly, administer the company and make all policy decisions. A d¢velopinent officer is employed to co-ordinate activities and manage the day-to-day running of the company. Review of activities and achievements The results i'eflect the activities carried on within the charitable company during the year. The trustees are pleased with the level of community development activities cari'ied on during that yeai. and the grant funding achieved. During tlie period froin l November 2023 to 31 December 2024 the charitable company s¢cured funding froin the Ulster Scots Ag¢ncy towards the community iinpact plan. In addition the charitable company also secui'ed funding fi'om Derry City aiid Strabane District Council, Honourable li'ish Society, Arts Council Nl, DAERA, Halifax Foundation Irish Government and Childi'en in Need to provide cultural d¢velopment, educational workshops and for various community f¢stivals. Going concern The Trustees are confident that further funding will be secured from the Ulster Scots Agency to continue with the community impact plan and are therefore satisfied tl)at it is appropriate for the financial statements to be prepared on the going concern basis. Accounting policies Basis of preparation Th¢ financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice (FRS 102, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland,) The charity ha5 taken advantage of the exemption in FRS 102 S¢ction IA from the requiremenl to produce a cashflow statement because it is a small charity. The presentation currency of these financial statements is sterling. 3.2. Incoming resources Income from donations and gi'ants, including capital grants, is included in inconiing resources when these al'e receivable, except as follows: When donors specify that donations and grants given to Ihe company must be used in fvtur¢ accounting periods, the income is defeiTed until those periods. When donors impose conditions which have to be fulfilled before the company becomes entitled to use such income, the income is deferred and not included in incoining resoui'ces until the pre-conditions for use have been met. When donors specify that donalions and gi'ants, including capital grants, are for a particular I'estricted puiyoses, which do not aniount to pre-conditions regai-ding eiititlement, this income is included in incoming resoui'ces of restricted funds when I'eceiveable. The value of services provided by volunteers has not been included. 3.3. Interest receivable Interest is included on a receivable basis. Page 8

Resources expended Expenditure is i'ecognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes VAT which ihe company is ineligible to i-ecovei., and is reported as pait of the expenditui'e to which it relates. Charitable expenditure comprises those costs incuri'ed by the charity in ihe delivery of its activities and services for its beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be allocated directly to such activities and those costs of an indirect nature necessary to support them. 3.5. Tangible fixed assets and depreciation Tangible fixed assets costing more than £500 ai'¢ capitalised and included at their purchase costs, together with any iii¢idental expenses of acquisition. Leasing Rentals payable under operating leases are charged against income on a straight line basis ov¢r the lease terni. 3.7. Fund accounting Unrestricted funds relate to general ￿ndS which ar¢ available foi. use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated foi. oih¢r purposes. Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordance with specific I'¢strictions imposed by donors or which have been raised by the charity for particulai. pui'poses. The cost of raising and administering such funds ar¢ charged against th¢ specific fund. The aim and use of each restricted fund is set out in the notes to the financial statements. 3.8. Taxation The company is registered as a charity for tax purposes under reference XR83440. As a charity, Derry and Raphoe Action Limit¢d is exempt from tax on incoine and gains falling within Section 505 of the Taxes Act 1988 01. Section 256 of the Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992 to the extent that these are applied to ils charitable objects. No tax charges have therefore arisen for the company for the year ended 3 December 2024. Page 9
