ANNUAL GENERAL REPORT

Durln8 the year the trustees had 8 meetin8s. Shea Black resigned as Chairperson due to
pressure of work Mary Gilmore as Wice Chair continued to conduct meetings
We continued to tske part in Sharkin Plan-lt (Participatory Budgeting Progfdmme and were
able to provide
new tsbles and chairs and some toys for the Parent and Toddler Group,
Improvement to the entrance to Drumbolcan Wood
Activities for Youth Club.
Parent and Toddler Group continued to meet weekly on Tuesday mornings. Numbers have
Increased this year.
The leaders of the Youth aub resigned after COVID. We were able to work with BYfES to
provide meetings from October to March. Unfortunately with only 2 leaders, numbers were
restricted and it was difficult to create the same enthusiastic club as before.
Summer plantlng was undertaken as usual with the help of a school pupll who had a £300
bid from Sharkin Plan-lt programme
Drurnbolcan Wood
During the year we met with council a8ents, councillors and an environmentalist to help us
decide on a way forward for development of the wood. As a result of a DAERA Grant and a
Sharkln Plan-lt bid we were able to improve the entrance to the wood to make It more
accessible. In October we hosted an 'Evenin8 About the Wood, and as a result set up a
group of 'Friends of the Wood,. We had an open invitation to the community to walk the
woods with us on an afternoon.
RCA continues to maintaln 3 defibrlllators In the villa8e.
Our Hlstory Group continues to meet once per month on a Thursday morning. Attendance
has been good and we have enjoyed speakers from Kilrea and Cullybackey. We met with Dr
Nic Wright (Museum Services) to discuss researching and publishing a booklet about St.
Olcan.
It has been a busy year due to our involvement in Sharkin Plan-lt and the development of
Drumbolcan Wood. We thank all our volunteers and funders who have helped us through
the year
