This year we were able to obtain funding from the National Lottery Awards For All which has enabled us to visit Mount Stewart followed by dinner at Harrisons, Ulster & American Folk Park followed by a meal at the Royal Hotel. We have also once again enjoyed a visit to the Ireland Garden Show at Antrim Castle Gardens, plus Irish Stew and Apple Tart with fresh cream and ice cream for both St Patrick’s Day and Halloween. Also two lunches one in July and the other in August. With the exception of the Irish Stew which is bought in locally. We also secured £200 from COAST to help with the running of our weekly group.
And finally THANK YOU to you the members who turn up each week, and support the outings, there would be NO GOLDEN OLDIES without you. So give yourselves a massive round of applause.
