In relation to all of the NAMED ACTIVITIES AND PURPOSES of Cloughmills Golden Oldies; the direct benefits HAVE INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING; 

the advancement of education, the promotion of the preservation and protection of health among older people and the relief of poverty. 

This reporting period, Cloughmills Golden Oldies HAVE PROVIDED opportunities to take part in study visits to St George’s Market, Dobbins Garden Centre, Garden Show Ireland, Mid- Ulster Garden Centre. Other trips included a trip to City Retail, Belfast Christmas Shopping in Belfast and an annual Christmas Dinner and Christmas Party celebrations. The Group have also hosted 11 Bring and Buy Sales throughout this year to support not only members of the group but the wider community. Other activities have included Irish Stew and Apple Tarts to celebrate St Patricks Day. In July the committee caters provided a hot lunch in lieu of the Club not meeting during the months of July and August. This ensures that members get at least one nutritious meal during this time of the year.   The Club continues to make social outings, luncheon club meetings, leisure and recreational activities a priority within their structured programme.  Cloughmills Golden Oldies continues to bring older people together and provides support through a series of structured activities designed to increase general health and well-being particularly for people aged 55 years and over. Cloughmills Golden Oldies continues to work in partnership with other voluntary/community groups to reach out and develop projects that can further support aspects of health and well-being such as the delivery of luncheon clubs which is a very valuable service that is needed now more than ever. 

In relation to all of the above, the beneficiaries of Cloughmills Golden Oldies are all people living in Northern Ireland, (and mainly, but not exclusively, from the village of Cloughmills) over the age of 55.  There are no harms resulting from any of the purposes. No person connected with the organisation gains a private benefit which is more than incidental to carrying out the said purposes.
