Following the Covid 19 pandemic and various restrictions in place, it has been a challenge to return to the pre-2020 level of activity. We work closely with other groups in the village to support the community as a whole, and principally, those younger persons who would have traditionally benefited from our services.

The charity is a Company, Limited by Guarantee, and is governed by a Memorandum and Articles of Association, as amended by Special Resolution on 2[nd] September 2015.

A summary description of the purposes of the charity

The Charity’s objects are specifically restricted to the following:- To promote the benefit of the people of the village of Millisle and its environs (the “area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to: a) Advance education; b) Preserve and protect health, both mental and physical;

c) Provide and assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the people of the area of benefit;

d) Promote all or any objects for the benefit of the people of the area of benefit which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable.

The name of any person, or body of persons, permitted by the trusts of the charity to appoint one or more new charity trustees and a description of the method used to make such appointments

New trustees are appointed by the existing Trustees as required.
