Mr Corkin reported on another successful year with visits to Kate's Cottage, near

Castle and Glenariff and the Dunsilly Hotel and the Seagoe Hotel. A very successful
Christmas dinner and dance was held in December 2023 in the Arnlagh City Hotel. A
BBQ was held in June and a breakfast in Brownlow House in February. There were
numerous raffles held throughout the year during our visits to the varkous venues and
at a quiz and bingo night in February 2024. A celebratory tea was organised to mark
the Coronation of King Charles in May 2023.
Many of the activities, visits and events were supported by the members of the
Carleton Street Community Development Association.
The Bowls continued on Thursday evenings with a regular attendance of 15 to 20
members. The knitting club on Monday evenings was also well attended throughout
the year and the ladies enjoyed the opportunity to meet for fellowship and chat. They
were also able to supply some of their work for sale at a Christmas sale in the Orange
A Grant of £10,000 was received from the National Lottery Community Fund in
October and this will enable the Association to arrange a number of outings and visits
to various venues throughout Northem Ireland. This will go a long way to help
alleviate isolation and loneliness amongst our members and we believe will help
improve their health and wellbeing.
The Treasurer Mrs Sally Anderson presented her Financial Report and advised those
present that it had been a very steady year for the Association's finances. We had
started the year with a Bank Balance of £3885 and finished with a closing balance of
£12110, an increase of £8225. The increase is mostly attributed to the Grant of
