CARLETON OVER 50S ASSOCIATION Charity No. 102445 TRusfEES ANNUAL REPORT Report of our Annual General Meeting held on 12 June 2023 in Carleton Street Orange Hall. The Chairman Mr Ronald Corkin welcomed all to the meeting and in particular Mr Darren Causby who is to conduct the election of officers. Mr Corkin reported on the work of the Association over the last year and thanked all who had helped to make it more successful than the previous two years following the impact of Covid. The Group has now 48 members and we are looking forward to attracting some new members overthe summer months. Over the last year we have been able to carry out a number of functions and outings. In November 2022 we participated in a Craft Fair in the Hall and were able to sell some items that we had made at our weekly Monday night meetings. All proceeds went to The Air Ambulance Service of Nl. In December we organised a trip to Armagh City Hotel for our annual Christmas dinner and this was well 5UPPOrted. We were successful in obtaining a Grant towards the cost of new bowls and some items for our Craft class. We also participated in a Healthy eating program for five weeks and we had 15 members in attendance each night. After Christmas 2022 we had a Quiz and Bingo night and Ét was very encouraging to see so many of our. Me￿bersin attendance for a memorable night of fun and friendship. A visit from the Community Police was also held in order to give advice and help regarding scams and other financial matters. Mr Corkin was thanked for his leadership throughout the year and the member5 looked forward to another successful year. Mr Causby congratulated the Association on a successful year and then conducted the election of officers and said that if we needed any help or advice with Grant applications or other matters he would be happy to oblige.
