ANNUAL REPORT APRIL 2022- MARCH 2023
DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
The Trust is a charitable Company limited by guarantee.
The objects of the Trust are the advancement of the Christian faith, advancement of education,
prevention and relief of poverty and advancenient of health and advancement of community
development in Ndola, Zambla.
Achievements and Performance
Ongoing covid restrictions have once again impatted on teams of people not being able to vislt and
the children in Oasis Village have not been able to benefit from thls input. However, covid
restrictions regarding wearing masks has been lifted.
The children continue to celebrate birthdays monthly, and they look forward to these special days
sharing birthday cake and receiving gifts.
In July 2022, 2 new children came to live in Oasis Village, a 1.5 year old and a 7 year old bringing the
total children supported to 60.
The children from Oasis enjoy attending worship In "Open Church whlch Is very youth orientated
and they have many opportunities to lead the praise and worshlp in the church.
During the past yearthere has been further building work with additional classrooms and the library.
The jungle gym has also had some maintenance work undertaken and been repainted. The sports
complex continues to be developed.
In November the official opening of the library was undertaken by the former Lord Mayor of Ndola
accompanied by the area Chairman and a representative MP.
The school cafeteria is in operation again following the completion of work on the floor and new
tables and chairs being purchased.
The pupils in Mountainside Primary school celebr3ted World Book Day in March 2023 with the
children dressing up as characters from their favourite books.
One of our original children continues her studies in Lusaka studying banking and finance and two of
our young men are at college in Ndola studying mechanlcal and electrical engineering.
The Oasis formal was held in May 2022 and raised £13,100.
Nicki Moyo requested cards and letters forthe children from supporters as she is due to visit in April
2023.
Sponsorship for books for the library raised £1875; Nlcki cycled 200km as a fund raiser and the pupils
of Klllowen Primary School in Nl sold second-hand books and gave a cheque for £573.80.
Mountainside Primary continues to excel with the quality of teaching provided. They were awarded a
Certificate for achieving the best scores for Grade 7 Examlnations Results in the Ndola District.

When Ziso Moyo left Zambia in late 2022 he set up a new bank account in Ndola that will allow
Pastor Danny to make a monthly withdrawal to pay the house mums salaries and to buy the food for
the orphanage. In January 2023 Ziso made a surprise visit to Oasis to monitor how the new systems
were operating and tofinalise some transition arrangements.
The Oasis Newletter was published in December 2022 and copies sent along with a Chrlstm3s Card to
Supporters including churches and individuals who have an interest in the work of Oasis Village Trust.
Along with the regular "Whats App" photos and messages sent to supporters, people are kept up to
date with all that is happening.
Director Raymond Wray continues to monitor closely the monthly income from supporters and to
transfer the monthly monies required.
The Trustees are Indebted to the ongoing prayerful and financial support given during these difficult
months of economlc pressures.
The committee are delighted that all the children continue to grow physlcally, socially, 5plritually and
emotionally and to develop their educational skills and knowledge.

Trustees Responsibilitles
Under charity law Trustees are required to prepare financial statements that record the receipts and
payments of the charity for each accounting period.
We, the undersigned, are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy the financial position of the charity and to ensure that the financial statements
comply with relevant regulations.
We acknowledge that we have a responsibility to safeguard the assets of the charity and to take steps to
prevent fraud or other irregularities.
Financial Review
Income for the year increased from £64,158 to £75,238 and while expenses also fell from £75,750 in
2022 to £60,773 in 2023 the Trust had a surplus for the year of £14,465. At the year end Unrestricted
Funds amounted to £34,607.
