Main Actlvities
The new structure of our organisation has been changed and will appear later our bank mandate in
2024 and the Charities commission site, as it will be formalised in the future after our next AGM.
Practically it is in place as our members had a chance to object and vote on our WhatsApp group and
trustees have met.
Due to performance and contributt'on (not just financial and fundraising but demonstrating
leadership> it has been decided our treasurer Amerjit Singh Nagra would be appointed the new
trustee and President of the charity- 'Nl Sikh Associats'on."
Our new president has guided us through a very diffi'cult time during a period where we had
substantial challenges because of covid, a fire resulting in substantial financial issues (little income
during closer) and restructuring challenges and working with the team which includes new trustees:
President-Amerjit Slngh Nagra {New Trustee). Vice President Kalbinder Singh Kular
Secretary- James Jasbir Singh Nagra. Vice Secretary- Manpreet Kaur Sandhu
Treasurer- Satvir Kaur Gill ( New Trustee) - structure decided- formally to be ratified next year due
to covid and a year of little activity. Only fumerals . conducted,from Nagra and Gill households held
monthly meetings. To discus5 progress.
The Trustees look forward to a new and prosperous future working with all the community and
members- our policy includes inviting local communities of all faiths to use our facilities and attend
cultural events, thereby delivering inclusivity. social innovation in alignment with Sikh values.
The President would like to thank the trustees and members for buying into a vision of -
"Future sustainability. improved facilities and for their contribution during the most challenging
times In the history of the of the Nl Sikh Association, we look forward to welcoming the public and
members into our improved, Insulated sustainable building- we would particularly like to thank our
senlor cltizens for showlng patlence- we know they will be pleased with the new lift and warmer
more comfortable facilltSes- my thoughts through out this diffi'cult period has always been with our
Senlor Cltlzens and thelr needs- the trustees have also supported me through the challenges and I
have no doubt wlll contlnue to support our charity In the future.
Conduslon and summary
Improvements will result In more sustalnable bullding and charity for future generations and
improved faclllties for our members, public and particularly our senlor citi2ens and disabled who are
the at the very heart of our community. Our Policy includes welcoming people from all faiths
Includlng or8anisatlons like schools, educatlonal Instltutions. and other community groups to
experlence and leam about the Slkh culture. Incluslvlty of all falths and Eender equality is at the
centre of our pollcy. We have durlng thls dlfficult perlod developed plans. and in the process settling
Insurdnce dalrn.
