INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF FRIENDS OF DOWN COUNTY MUSEUM I report on the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2023 sel out on pages seven to eleven. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examlner As the charity's In15t¢es you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordanc¢ with Ihe Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. It is my responsibilily to.. examine the accounts under Section 65 of the Charities Act follow the procedures latd down in the General Dire¢tions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act). and state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of the independent examiner'$ report I have examined your charity 2¢¢ounts as required under seclion 65 of the Charlties Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the Gei)eral Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. My examination included a review of the accounting i'e¢ords kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees conceming any such matters. My role is to state whether any material matters can lo my attention giving me ¢au5e to believe.. l. The accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act 2. That the accounts do not a¢cord with those accounting records That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the Companies Acl 2006 and with the methods and principles of th¢ Charities Sialement of Recommended Practice applicable to harilies preparing their accounls in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland 4. That there is fvrther inforn)ation needed for & proper understanding of th¢ accounts to be reached. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters (l) to (4) listed above and, in connection with following the Dire¢lions of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, I have found no matters thal require drawing to your attention.
