## **1. Chair’s Report** 

During the year it was my pleasure to chair Pride of the Park Flute Band. 

During the year, we obtained funding from Causeway Coast and Glens Council. We also worked with North Antrim Community Network and achieved funding from them for equipment. 

Personal highlights have been returning to normal after the pandemic with a return to tuition and taking part in parades. 

Community training which other funders have delivered continues to allow our committee to improve skills and instil a greater degree of professionalism within this area. Local volunteers have also benefited from training and again this is welcome as there has been no cost to the organisation but we have gained maximum benefits as the skills learnt are transferrable and improve the local community. 

Thanks are due to everyone who has supported our organisation during the year, having attended, volunteered, contributed to any of the organisations activities as we aim to ensure that we bring a public benefit from our organisations existence.

## **2.** Music Tuition 

One of our main public benefits of our group is to provide musical tuition for anyone who is interested in learning a traditional UlsterScots instruments regardless of age or ability in either the flute or drum. All our tutors are chosen based on their expertise and their track record of educating people in their specialist field. 

- a) Flute Tuition 

Weekly tuition took place every Monday, in the Orange Hall and currently there are around 10 students who undertake this activity on a weekly basis. 

## b) Drum Tuition 

Weekly tuition takes place every Monday, in the Orange hall and currently there are around 4 students who undertake this activity on a weekly basis. The students have gained a great depth of knowledge during this programme. 



## **3. Summer Festival** 

The festival was moved to December to allow us to return after the pandemic.  Numbers were limited as we were still in restrictions, however over 100 people were able to enjoy the festival and the children received gifts from Santa. 

## **4. Management and Community Training** 

During the time period, our group has continued to offer training to our members and also to our committee in order that we remain aware and up-to-date with all current legislation and requirements. 

Access NI checks have been carried out on 6 members 

Food hygiene has been completed by 3 of our members 

Basic First Aid training has been completed by 3 of our members. 

Training on Corporate governance, risk assessments, sustaining your organisation, legal issues regarding volunteers, Internet security have also undertaken via volunteer now by 2 members of the organisation at no additional cost due to a lottery grant as they offer community support training to all grant holder. 



## **5. Working with Others/ Public Displays** 

During the year, our organisation has worked with a large number of group/ completed public displays, the main ones are shown:-
