Respective responsibilities of the charity trustee and examiner
As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is my responsibility to:

e Follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Commission under s65(9)}(b) of the Charities Act

Basis of Independent Examiner’s Report
| have examined your charity accounts as required under s65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under s65(9}(b) of the Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe:

The value of the church buildings have been stated as per the sum assured per insurance policy provided by AJ Gallagher
Note 2
The Young Fund was a bequest left under Trust from a late parisher Miss M Young The Trust is overseen by Professional Trustees, Cleaver Fulton Rankin, solicitors The Trust fund is available to the Church for the provision of capital projects and hence they have bought and own the current Rectory and the previous rectory. The Church benefits from the investment income produced by the Trust Fund and also the current rental income provided from the letting out of the old rectory. The values of the properties are derived from the Zoopla

This is an investment held by the church in an investment fund suitable for charities, the investment income from this investment is paid out to the church bank account as investment income
Note 4
This Carrowdore Parish allocation of the Church of Ireland Unit Trust of which we are entitled to the distributions the income is distributed to the church bank account annually
