Friends of St Colmcilles – Trustee Annual Report 2017 – 2018
We are primarily a fundraising group, another vital part of our work is to strengthen the link between St Colmcilles Primary School and the wider community.
Monthly meetings were held to organise the following events throughout the year:-
Christmas Fayre - The annual Christmas Fayre was organised and ran with the Carrickmore town Christmas light switch on. A very good community event that attracts all the local residents or all age denominations attending.
Disco – An annual school disco for all ages able to attend 4 – 12 years of age. Parents and grandparents were invited to attend aswell.
Coffee Morning – Held in the school hall. All of the local community and surrounding areas were invited after cemetery Sunday. A wide range of community and ages attended.
Spinathon – Organised and ran to help alert health and well being amongst the school and local community.
