Community Benefit -
Several community engagements were undertaken during the period. The band continues to provide musical performances at a range of events such as concerts, parades, church services etc.
Several local young people are currently receiving tuition from band members and are progressing well in their chosen instrument.
Education -
In person tuition continued through the year with over 40 tuition sessions delivered to both learners and improvers in the period. The band continue to provide quality tuition and instruments at no cost to a range of participants across a wide age range.
Financial —
The band continue to enjoy funding support from the Ulster-Scots Agency during the year as well as income generated from fundraising, donations and performance fees. A grant for 2 new accordions was secured from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. Ongoing major outgoings are principally centred around the costs of uniforms, insurance and equipment upkeep.
