Trustees Report for the year ended 30 September 2020 Glenkeen Fife and Drum Band Band prarti￿ commences in Odober each year, meeting on a Monday night. Membership numbers remain consistent. The Band meets in Glenkeen Orange Hall for band practi￿ and in the past, we have held at least one charity event throughout the year The Lodge does not charge us for the Hall, but we are committed lo providing financial assistan￿ in the event of the Hall needing capital repair. Our Trustees are volunteers. who give their time freely, and without charge, to ensure that Glenkeen Fife & Drum Band continues into the next generation of young people. Due to the constraints imposed under Covid-19 Legislation, the￿ has been very little activity within the Band during the past 12 months. Monthly meetings were postponed during period of lockdown, but Committee Members have managed to meet when it was considered safe, adhering to the Iwo melre distancing rules. and conduct meetings via online platforyns. An amount of £85 has been identified as due for lodging as at the year end. This amount was not banked due to treasurer having to shield. Grants During Ihe accounting perlod 30 September 2019, the band was in r￿lpt of a grant to address the disability aC￿sS to the Hall. This work was completed during the year to 30 September 2020 and £10,000 was paid out lo Dooey for the work done. In addition to the work carried out on the building, the electrics had to be upgraded due to the new work. which cost the Band £1609.40 We also applied for a grant for 50 new chairs within the hall from DEFFiA. The Band was to pay 250/0 of the cost and the grant would cover the remaining 75% of the cost. ments Due to Covid 19 - we undertook to supply food parcels to those in our community worst hit by the lockdown. We paid £100 for this. All other expenses paid are for the benefft for the Band and managed to purchase new equipment costing £1200. Accounts for the year show total income for the year bèing £4351.60 and expenditure of £5195 (excluding the £10,000 in relation to last years grant). That is a loss during the year of £843.40. At the end of the year, the Band has £10207.99. It is the intention of the Trustees, that the moniès held will be used to purchase new equipment. And the Trustees will continue to source possible funding opportunities. Trustèes arè aware of their responsibilities for adhering to guidancellegislation which has been provided by the Nl Executive. There continues to be no activity within the Band, and members will be notified to any changes, when it deem￿ safe to recommence band practice.
