Trustees Annual Report
Fiscal year- 01 July 2022 to 30 June 2023
Name of Charity: Calvary Braid Valley
Charity Number: NIC 102276
Address: 65 Knowehead Road, Broughshane, Ballymena BT43 7JE
Calvary Braid Valley (CBV) is an evangelical church established for the spread of the
gospel message and for its members to maintain a life in accordance with Biblical
principles. This is done through the dissemination of God's Word, giving Biblical
guidance as how to obtain a relationship with God and to continue to live in a
manner that is pleasing to God. This is summed up in our mission statement which
is, 'To Know Jesus and Make Him Known"
Calvary Braid Valley has been fortunate in the fact that those who have benefited
from our activities include not only the regular members of the church, but also
many members of the wider community of Ballymena as well as the surrounding
borough.
This fiscal year report covers a time when we had changed the meeting location
for Sunday morning and midweek meetings. Moving from the village of
Broughshane to the town of Ballymena, we have gained a presence in the town
centre of Ballymena and have provided fellowship, support and encouragement to
many people from this location.
Our online presence has continued during this time. As a church we were able to
host as well as be in attendance to group meetings for prayers, daily devotions and
women's Bible study that were open to the public. We were able to continue to
bring comfort, encouragement and hope too many people both within our church
and in the community at large. This presence also allowed us to help mitigate some
of the tremendous mental health strains that arise from the stresses of life as well
as bringing connection for people who feel alone and disheartened.

The church's 'Thrive" ministry, which benefits the public by giving the opportunity
for those facing loneliness and isolation to get together with others, grew and
expanded. On-line prayer gatherings with the local community also continued
during the period covered by this fiscal year as did in-person meetings and
activities with inter-faith groups in town as well as facilitating meetings with church
leaders, the public and civil leaders.
Calvary Braid Valley has continued to reach into the local community by bringing
religious education programmes to the public school through partnership with
Scripture Union. Also we were able to assist our local Broughshane Improvement
Committee's holiday festival by providing volunteers with joyful spirits to
participate in running a booth.
The Trustees of Calvary Braid Valley have kept in mind the Charity Commission's
statutory public benefit guidance in ensuring that the plans and decisions they
have made in regards to carrying out activities for the purpose of public benefit.
This is in accordance with the constitution of Calvary Braid Valley, which governs
the administration of the church. In addition, no one from CBV or any members of
the Trustees have incurred any private benefit from the activities of the church
On behalf of the trustees of Calvary Braid Valley this is our statement of annual
report in regards to our activities for the public benefit.
