Strueknre, Governance and Management
Gaelscoil Éadain Mhoir PTA (Cairde Na Gaelscoile) was forn)ed on 5 October 2015 to provide educational
resources for the school's pupils and to organi5e famili,.friendly events to generate fi]nds. The ¢harity is
mana(Fed by the trustees meet regularly lo rei'ieiy activities and organise fvnd raising events. New
trustees are nominated by current trustees. All of the tn]stees due to Iheir experience and backgrouiids are
already familiar with the work of the charity.
The trnstees meet regularly throughout the year and offlce holders are elected by the board on an annual basis.
Objectives and Activities
Gaelscoil Éadain Mhoir pfA (Cairde Na Ga¢]s¢oil¢) provides additional educalionatr resources for the
school's pupils by pro￿lding funding for extraeurricular activities and learning support.
Public Beneftt
Gaelscoil Éadain Mhoir PTA (Caird¢ Na Gaelscoile) work to ensure they provide public benefit through the
advancement of cducation through the mediuJn of Irish. The charity promotes increased educational progress
and attainment of pupils by providing ac¢ess to resource5, events and activities which are not available
through dire¢t school funding. The charits. atso seeks to build links ￿-[th tb.e local ¢ommunity. In setting our
objectives and planning our activities for the )'ear the trustees have given ¢arcful consideration lo the Charity
Comtnission for Northern Ireland's (Fuidance on publlc benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to
achÈeve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the benefi¢iaries.
Achievements and Performances
Through fiinding and donations, Ga¢lscoil Éadain Mhoir PTA (Cairde Na Gaelscoile) has contittued to
provide activities and learning re50urce5 to benefit pupils.
After school's club
It wa5 another success￿[ after school's programme this year with 20 children per day on average availing of
a range of extracurricular activities such as sports, 8rts, dance, SiViTnming and gardening all led by full),
insured instructors.
Summer scheme
The summer scheme ran again this year with an average of 20-25 ckildren per day over the week taking
part in a full programme of activities. The scheme was undertaken iyith a team of 3 teachers, 2-3 assistants
supported by & further 3 volunteers.
Learning support
With the funds Taised durino the year the schiK)I were able to purchase additional educational resources and
learning support such as books and maths games. These resource5 helped to support leaming in reading,
paired maths schem¢ and in the classroom.
Financial Review
All &ctivities have remained within budget for the period. The trust¢¢s have considered tlie projected iiicome
and costs for the incoming )'ear and are satisfied they have the necessary resourc¢s in place to operate for the
foreseeable future. For this reason they continue lo adopt the going concern basis in p￿parIng the financftal
statements.

Risk Manauement
The tru5tces have examined the major strategic. business and operational risks which the charity faces and
COnf￿M thal systems have been established to enable regular reports to be pri)du¢ed so that the necessary steps
can be taken to lessen these risks.
Plans for the future
The Charity has organised fvnd-raising for contTnuing after 5choo15 provision and a summer scheme for
summer 2018 and will continue throughout next year io SUPPOrt school pupils by providing funding for
additional l¢aming resources and extracurricular activities.
