The Trustees present their report and the fmancial statements for the year ended 31 March 2018.
Sirueture, Go*ernallce and Mgn2gemellt
Gaelscoil Éadain Mhoir PTA (Cairde Na Gaelscoile) was forn)¢d on 5 October 2015 to provide educational
resources for the school'5 pupils and lo organise famil!,_friendly events to generate funds. The ¢harity is
managed by th¢ trustees who meet re(yularly to revieiy activities and organise fi]nd raising events. New
trustees are nominated by current trustees. All of the trustees due lo their experience and backgrounds 2re
already familiar with the work of the charity.
The trustees meet regularly throughout the year and office holders are elected by the board on an annual basis.
Objeetives and ActiTrities
Gaelscoil Éadain Mhoir PTA (Calrde Na Gae]scoile) provides additional educational resources for tlie
school's pupils b). providing funding for extracurricular activities and learning support.
Publie Benefit
Gaelscoil Éadain Mhoir PTA (Caird¢ Na Gaelscoile) work to ensure they provide public benefit through the
advancement of education through the medium of Irish. The charity promotes increased educational progress
and attaininent of pupils by providing access to resources, events and activities which are not available
through direct school funding. The charity also seeks to build links ￿'[th the local community. In setting our
obj¢¢tives and planninu our activities for the )'ear the trustee5 have niven careful consideration to the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland's gLEidance on public benefil to ensure that the activities have helped to
achieve the charity's purposes 8nd provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.
AchAevements and Perforniance5
Through funding and donations, Gaelscoil Éadain Mhoir PTA (Cairde Na Gaelscoile) has continued to
provide activities and learning resources to benefit pupils.
After school's club
It wa5 another successful after school's programme this year with 20 children per day on average availing of
a range of extracurricular activities such as s￿rts, arts, dance, sivimming and gardening all led bv full J,
insured instructors.
Summer scheme
The sunyner scheme ran again this year with an averdge of 20-25 children per day over the week taking
part in a full programme of actitrities. The scheme was undertaken ivith a team of 3 teachers, 2-3 assistants
supported by a further 3 volunteeT5.
Learning supp)rt
With the funds raised during the year the school were able to purchase additional educational resources and
leaming support such as books and maths games. These resources helped to support learning Èn reading,
paired maths scheme and in the classroom.
Fin2ncial Review
All activities have remained within budget for the period. The trustees have Considered the projected income
and cost5 for the incomtng year and are saiisfied they have the necessary resoU￿¢S in place lo operate for the
foreseeable future. For thi5 reason they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial
statements.

Risk Management
The trustees have examined the tnajor strat¢gi¢, business and operdtional risks which the charity faces and
COnf￿M that systems have been established to enable regular reports to be produced so that ihe necessary Steps
Can be taken to l¢ssen these risks.
Plans for the future
The Charity has organised fund-raising for continuing after schools provision and a summer scheme for
summer 2018 and will continu¢ throughout next vear to support school pupils by providing funding for
additional learning resources and extracurricular activities.
