Public Benefit Statement

Gilford Community Club is a cross community organisation that provides members of the local community and the surrounding areas with a venue where they can meet for group activities, social provision and public events for those who are in need of such facilities without discrimination of age, sex, nationality, religious preference, disability, social economic circumstances and in the interests of community wellbeing and with the objective of improving the condition of life for the residents of the local and surrounding communities. Gilford Community Club provides the community with many recreational and sporting opportunities to keep the local and surrounding community socially and mentally active.

These benefits are demonstrated by the rising numbers of the local and surrounding community that participate in the groups which are actively running in Gilford Community Club..

The purpose of our charity is to provide the local and surrounding communities them with an outlet for them to come together.

The private benefits from this purpose is the benefit to local businesses which may see an increase of trade due to the rising numbers of people attending activities which are organised by the groups currently residing in Gilford Community Club. Also through these groups the participants are exposed to a wider audience which they would not have been before and may as a result gain a greater profile than they usually would. These are both incidental and necessary because it brings the local and surrounding communities together socially in a non-judgemental environment.
