The charity is 8 ￿gistered tharity and hence the report and results are presented in a form which complies with th&
requirements ol the Companies Act 2006 and. allhough not obliged to comply with the Statement of RtreommendeEI
Practice applicable in Ihe UK and Republlc of Ireland FRS 102. the organi5ation has irnplornenled its
recommendations where relevant in these fjnancial stalernents.
Mlsslon. Objec¢ives and Strategy
Objectlves
The objects of the Company are, for the public benefit, to ￿lIeVe the stresses experienced by carers of all ages and
peopl8 with physkal. m8ntsl or sansory impaimient within the family or home by offering a resplte servke through the
prov15ion of comrnunity based care atlendanls and. at the dis¢￿tIon of thè boarij and in eX￿pIlonal circumstances. lo
provide such eare attendants for disabled people alone.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
In the ¢UTrent econornic Climate. ￿ ¢ontinue to have ch811enging times in the Domiciliary Care sector. Cornmunlty
Care hours have 5te8died somewhal allhough generally. only essential domicili3ry services are ￿adIlY available.
At the beginning of this year the living wage increased by £0.92 P8F hour. This harj a very 5igniftcanl impact on the
r7urnber of wages being p8id each month. Unlortunalely, the trust only In¢￿aSed the hourly r8t8 by £0.46 which left a
considerable defiGIt in funding.
Our Young Carers projed has conllnued with steady progress durfng the year wlth outlngs and events continuing to
grow. We have be8n extremely happy wth the funding and speciff¢ grant aid ieeeived for th? Young Car8r5 Project
during fhe year.
Th• In Your Prlme prolect conlnues to provide suppx)rt through tho proiect. although fijnillng during thls year has
been down. We are still actsvely looking for more lundlng for this project and Volunteers to eontinu8 this vital work.
The Activity and Sensory Room project has grown Ihls year. With increased services due to fundlng, the ¢hildren have
benefited from the Holiday ProjeGI Sch8rne funded by the LFf Trust. We ¢onth"nue to aetively 58ek to secure lulure
fvnding for the Activity and SensDry Roorn to update aqulprnenl for the Chlldren.
A Significant developrn8nt this year ha5 been the opening of our first Chadty shop. This 8nd£avour Is showirrtj great
success, and thi5 is malnly down to the volunteers that operate the shop on a daily basi¥. Wg aim lo continue to grow
this venture.

PRICING POLICY
The cost for Domiciliary Cara yervSce is decided by each Health Twst. The Trusts set the hourly rate that Ihey will
y for our service. There is no negotiation they operate on a lake it or leave it. poll¢y.

through auditors how much an hourol cost and it is seldorn the cost per hour that the Trust offers.
The care rates offered by the Trust Board for (he financial year 2023-2024 was merely £0.46p per care hour
increasing by only 30A, and dlsappoinlingly no further increase currently predicted lorAprll 2024.
Th• Board a￿ happy w￿th Ihe results for the year. W8 have undertaken a significant rew8w of our incomè and
expenditure during the year. This process highlighted a number of areas where we havg b88n able lo implernent cost
savings during th8 year, butwhich wll also generate further savings in the coming year.
INVESTMENT POWERS AND POLICY
Trustees have powers to invest and havg chosen lo buy property as an investment as well as a facility for operauonal
maiters.
