Activities

The Centre was established to promote the benefits of the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of age, disability, gender, race, cultural identity, political, religious or other opinion by the promotion of voluntary activity which relieves poverty, sickness disablement and old age and advances education, social welfare and other charitable purposes of benefit to the community. The Centre is also established to provide for the enhancement of well being and personal development of individuals who are engaged in voluntary work. The Centre will provide equal opportunity training for all committee members and volunteers. All recruitment , promotion and training will be dependent upon an individual's ability to carry out their role. There will be no consideration given to a committee member's/volunteer's religious beliefs, political opinion, sex, marital status or disability. Furthermore , the Centre shall provide support, training and advice which enhance the effectiveness of organisations involving volunteers to promote charitable activities in the area of benefit.
