associated wlth a poverty lifestyle. These benefits can be demonstrated by feedbaGk frorn referring partner
agencies. continued monitoring of service user clrcum$tanGes and ongoing evaluatlon of ourservice delivery.
IblTo benefit the resldents of the Greater Belfast Area and beyondwlthout dlstinction of sex, sexual orleTrtatron,
race or of political, religlous or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local
authorities. voluntary and otherorganisations in a common effortto advance education and to provide facilities
in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of irnproving the
conditions of life for the residents. The direct benefits which Ilow from this purpose Include increased
understanding and awareness of local poverty issues, reductltsn in poverty driven isolation and an increase rn
opportunity for soGial Interaction. These benefits Gan be dernonstrated by provtsion of educational
presentations in schoo15, churches etc., ongoing traSnlng ol volunteer5 and provlsion of fo¢llltles for rnultiple
$oclal and educational programme$ ran by ourselves and thlrd party organi5ations.

The charity's beneficiaries are Ihose Ilving within the Greater Belfast Area lacking the ability to rmvide theTnselves with
the basic e3sential$ of life as referred to us by our partner5 th05e in re￿ipL of an increased awarenBSS of local
poverty i55U8s through our educational presentations and training sessions.

Background
Launched in 2008, a5 a project of Belfast City Vineyard Church, Storehouse had a very simple aim., to eunbat food
poverty throu9houl Ihe Greaier Belfast area. working toward5 the day when no one in our city should hav8 lo go hungry.
Since then. the project ha5 ev0￿ed with Storehouse INI) being established in 2010 and the focus broadening lo
encotnpa5s other basic need5 such as clothes. fumiture and hou5ehdd go￿5. Today Storehouse is providing around
150 food parcels. Seeing 200 referrals in our centre, and making around 10 furr￿lure deliveries every week. We partner
with over 200 charities and agencies across the city and WOFk along5id& rnorg than 70 chUrC￿s, sthools. and
businesses.
How did w8 do?
In th8 year ending 31st August 2025 Storeh￿$@ INII continued lo grow in influence within the Greater Belfasl Area and
ovided a significant service lo those living in circurnstances of poverty and finan(xal, relational or emotional h8rd8hip.
We delivered ￿ our objectNes in the following ways
81 We continue to run seven provision sessions throughout the week, 51 weeks in the year, staffed by an amazing
volunteer team. Four of these are open sessions where we're abl? to welcome new referrals. as well as run
8ppoinlm8nls for existing 38rvic8 users. The other thr88 sessions are appointment only for existiro Serwce
Users. Within these sessions we had roughly 6000 visits lo our fo￿ 8hop, where we were able to provid? over
110,000 ilems of food and ioilelries io tho88 in need. On top of that we were ab18 to supply almost 12,000
items of clothing and deliver over 370 items of fumiture to families and individuals living within poverty
throughout 8elfa51. The value of the goods given, without charge lo the individuals served, is estimated lo b8
ar(yJnd £154.000. We provided this practical help to almost 1500 unigue homes acr05S the city, repr85enting
a vast spectrutn of the coTnrTTunity including, but not lirnited lo. farnilies with young children. Individuals living
on benefits, those struggling with cycles of addidion or mental health issues, IhÈ homeless, refvgÈÈs and
sylum seekers.

and volunteers and the wder BeKast community through facilitsting some relational based environments Such
a5 art and pottery groups. guitsr dasse5, football. baking, photography and filmography, English clas5e5 and
much fflore. We continue to run ourweekly Wednesday morning breakfast drop in spa￿. providing both a hol
breakfast and a space of p051tNe comrnunity to over 80 guests every week. Throughout the yearwe have had
the joy of wdcorning a Irainod advice agent into our breakfast space. providing bespokÈ *vire 10 those in
need around issues of housing and benefits. We ¢￿tinUe to run our Hope Into Acbon housing project, with
o houses open providing a￿0mMOdatson frjr 4 tenants. all whom havè expÈrien¢ed some degree of
hom8lÈssness. E8ch ien8nl 8ngag8S With our Ernpow8rmentworkerworking on a personal d8v8lopm8nt pL8n.
Throughout the year we have ￿ntInued to speak in many of our BO+ partner churches, sthools and
businesses, sharing about th8 work of Storehous8 and more importantly speaking to perceptions of bcal
poverty issues and invitiry 100's into ongoing conversations a)outthe challenges facing ourcornrnunities. We
have offered Iraining to our amazing learn of 150+ volunteer5 in area5 such a5 health and safety, safeguarding,
ritsi aid. food hygiene. Suicide awareness. understanding the benefit and asylum system5 and much tnore. We
have facilitated learning placernenls for college and university students a5 well. We continue to seek 8 better
understaridiDg for all, acr05S the soci￿GOn0r￿1C divides wilhin our cily.
Structure, Governanc8 and Managern8nt
Structure
Storehouse INI) 15 a CQTnpany limited by guarantee as well as a ￿gISte￿d charity, in which the ¢ompatTy directors fortn
the ￿ard of Twstees. The liability of each Trustee in the event of a winding up is limited 10 £1. The day to day running
is delegated to the eTnployed staff.
New Trustees are appointed when appropriate. Suitable candidates are considered ￿ the basi5 01 iheir skill5.
experlence and syrnpalhy with the alFns of the charity. New Trustees have the opportunity of ￿vIeWIng approprfale
docurnenls, including the accounts, as part of the induction proces5.

The financial slalernents of the charty. which is a public benefit enlity under FRS 102, have been prepared

As permitted by the Companies Act 2006. the Charity has varied the standard formals in that act for the
