and the focus broadening to enconipass other basic needs such as clothes, funiiturc aiid housel)old goods.
Today Storehouse is providing atound 100 food parccls. seeing 90 relerrals in our centre. ai)d making around
20 fLimitLirc dLliveries every week. We partner wilh ovcr charities aiid agencies across the city and work
aloi)gsidc moTe than 70 churches. schools. and businesses.

Iii tlie year ending 31 August 2018 Storchouse (Nl) continued to grow in influeiice witliin the Greater Belfast
Area and provided a significant service lo ihose living in circumstanccs of p)verty and financial, relational
or emotional hardship. We delivered on our objectii'es in the following ways=
al Wc continucd lo run 3 referral sessions per w¢ek, 51 wcck5 in ihc ycar, Slaffcd by an amazing. volunteer
leani. Wiihin these sessions we provided approximat¢ly 3 IIX) food bags, roughly 41 ionn¢s of food, over
l O(K) items of furniture and ovcr 6500 items of clothing. as well as IOOO'S of household goods aiid toiletry
items to familics and individuals livin¥ within TY)Yerty throughout Bclfasl. Thc valuc of tlic good5 giveii,
wiihoLIt Lhargye to the individuals S¢￿ed, is in ¢x¢¢ss of £124.000. We provided Ihis practical hell) 10 over
1000 Linique homes across tlic city. reprcscnting a vast specirum of Ihe community including. but not lin)ited
to, faiiiilics with young children. individuals li￿.]ng on benefit4 those struggling with cycles of addiction or
mei)lal healrh issues, Ihe honi¢l¢4 re(u8¢es and asylum seekers.

Lisers and voluiilecrs and Ihe wider Belfast community Ilirough facililaling some relational based
environniei)1s. Every week we ran a breakfast drop-in called Siorehouse Hoine, providing a he8111)y bieakfast
and S£1fe, regLilar space to develop relationships for those stnjggling wirh isolation. We averaged over 40 in
tlcndGince cach week wilh 5ignifi¢anl conversaiion5 and friendships being a weekly iiorn). Maiiy of our
rcgulars altLstcd ¢0 an increased sense of ¢ominunity, io a more positive ou¢loL)k on their circunistances and
to a significant benefit in their mental health.
Alongside Home we added a monihly "family" meal called The Table. The Table creates a space for anyone
to ¢ome and participalL in the preparing. serviiig and eating of a family meal. Conversation is encoLtra&tred,
nd flowiiigT across the t¢ibles, as many from vasily diffcreni backgrounds sit logeiher. sharing life. serving
onc anoiher and Lxpandinb iheir undersiandingb of th¢ ¢iiy they call hon)e. We r¢gularly have over 50 coi)iii)
to eat and chat logeiher.
We also facilital¢d a weekly arts drop-in for teens and young adults within the city centre commui)ity,
offering an alternativ¢ to 'hanging out" on the slreels in the evenings. We ¢xplored various fonns of visiial
art, allowiiig youiig pLople to explore various tslenls, while ereating a relational environment which allowed
for posi1IVC COIIVCTsation.

project Ground. Through the Spring aiid Suii)mer we soughi lo develop commuiiily amongsl volunteers and
scrvicc users as we I￿rned together about growing and Icnding to fruit aiid vcgctablcs. Wc wcrc ablc to Ihcii
ncliidc what was ¥rown as a healthy addiiion to our food bags, lo cook al our Table environinents and to
begin lo offer some cooking classes for a i)uii)ber of those iii our communily.
Througliout the year wc havc cotktinud to sp¢ak in many of our 80+ parti)cr churchc5, scliools and
businesse8, sharin&i about the work of Siorehouse and i))or¢ im￿rtantlY sp¢akiiig to ¢hange perceptions of
lo¢al poverty issues and inviting IOO'S inlo ongoing conversations about the challenges f(Icing our
